I usually make this when I'm feeling lazy and don't feel like cooking.

“Now pull the yellow onions off the grill”
*me, violently flipping through my notes:* GRILL WAS NOT LISTED ON THE LIST OF APPLIANCES

I started cooking this when the video came out 5 years ago. I just finished and it really is easy and delicious.

This would actually be really useful to demonstrate the importance of efficient kitchen utensil usage. I should show this to my students. But I don’t have any students, because I am not a teacher

You should've also claimed that the total prep and cooking time is 30 minutes. Or 15, even. EVERY GODDAMN RECIPE DOES THIS. 90 minutes in, I realize I've been duped yet again.

I literally was watching a chef channel and he announced his favorite super quick and easy broiled chicken recipe, he proceeded to chill, souvee, fry, saute, bake, re-bake, and finally broil in 8 different dishes. He and I have different ideas of what makes a quick and easy recipe.

I can't believe, -despite knowing this is a parody-how much this stresses me out.

You forgot the 5 min intro where they talk about how this dish has personally affected their entire life

My wife specializes in this 1 pot, 6 pans, 10 woks, and 25 baking sheets method. She’s an awesome cook. An added bonus: I have become an A+ dishwashing CEO! 5 hours and 43 minutes later….we are full and dishes are done! Sweet mother is it worth it!!!

As someone who has learned to cook decently over the past couple years, this is super accurate. My favorite thing about this recipe is the easy cleanup.

Protip they don't mention in the video: To quickly deal with all the washing up when this is done, just move house.

If you want to avoid frying with oil, a simple adjustment I made to the recipe is to use a 5-tiered steamer. Although 5 separate steamers can also work if you make sure to set them at different levels of intensity. turned out great, thank you, Onion!

My family really loved this recipe. But for those who never made it before, there's a bit of a short cut you can take to save time. Right after I put the broccoli and squash in the oven, I burned down the house, collected on the insurance and we all went out for fast food cause fuck cleaning dishes.

I showed this to my mom and she said
"The best would have been if she showed it to the kids and they asked if they could get pizza"
Have we hurt you mom?

I did this last year and the whole family loved it! I have a step-by-step guide on everything you need to do, from how to season the chicken properly, to how to remember which timer is for what, to managing your electric bill with 2 ovens, 2 countertop stove ranges, to the dishwashers you'll need to wash everything all at once. Best of all, the step-by-step guide is so easy, its only 260 pages and requires 3 weeks in advance for the preparation. I will admit, I didn't use 10 wok or 25 baking sheets, but thats all explained in my guide. What are you waiting for? The easiest homeade dinner is just 2 clicks away!

On point. (The sad fact is you could make an equally cutting piece on "one pot" meals) Reminds me of Richard Jeni's famous quote: "Watch as I make an amazing meal, using ingredients you've never heard of, and tools you don't have, in a kitchen the size of your entire apartment"
