I had an femoral osteotomy for mine earlier and the recovery was a lot different than I thought. It was not as bad as I thought. The good thing id the fact that I've had the Bad leg first.

I just got diagnosed with this a few months ago and I started noticing discomfort and like a weird sensation down my thigh when I applied pressure on that leg after a workout or a day of walking a lot about 3 years ago and I’m only 16 but it’s not really painful it’s just constant discomfort

I am 52. Was just diagnosed that this was congenital... Dr will not do surgery until I'm in my 70s. That's what I was told. Maybe time for second opinion or different doctor. I use a cane. Never know when the hip will go out.

June is hip dysplasia awareness month. please spread the word! 1 out of 20 baby's will be born with hip instability which can be a big issue if not found and treated as soon as possible.

What they don't tell you is that the screws will deteriorate over a period of time.
