I’m 33, former college athlete and they said I will need two hip replacements by the time on 40 😢

I unfortunately have a very painful case of hip dysplasia, and I'm only 18. I'm thankfully getting this operation done in a couple of weeks instead of a complete hip replacement. The first orthopedic surgeon told me that the only way to correct my hip dysplasia would be a hip replacement. I went to another orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion, and I told him what the original surgeon's plans were, and I thought the same as my current surgeon that that would be very excessive, and I was told that this would be a better alternative than an unnecessary hip replacement, because as said in this video, a hip replacement is irreversible, so I'm looking forward to being able to be pain free and walk normally :)

I have this in both hips and it’s really rare for me because I got told I’ll have arthritis in both hips and full hip replacement on both hips when I’m older.

I'm assuming this is periacetabular osteotomy as they don't say. I I'm considering this option to myself
