DO'S & DON'TS: How To Draw a Realistic Nose | Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

In this pencil drawing tutorial I am demonstrating some common mistakes beginners make when drawing noses in Graphite pencil.

the "don't" demonstration of the nose is really relatable and accurate for me. I did my nose like the "don't" demonstration and I always felt as if I was missing something thus I ended up forcing more details. Thank you, now I dont have to feel as if the realistic face and nose I draw isnt out of place and non-realistic

Thank you for this video, lots of good points made. You say often how you keep looking at the reference photo but it would be nice for viewers to see the reference photo so we can see what you're trying to emulate with the drawing. When you add the shadows in just the right area, we can't see how you're making that choice because we don't see the photo you are copying with your art. Otherwise, it is a great quick study of how you make your drawings look realistic.

hey Kristy, I just wanna thank you for your vids they help me in so many areas of my work .I especially enjoyed the color pencil vids because I struggle with blending dark skin tone and skin tones in general. I've been looking at my nose for.... years. It is a shock to find how hard it is to draw. I had no idea how little I knew about it!

Although I have no intention to become dedicated to realistic drawing, I still find it a really good way to study the shape and structure of faces, muscles and limbs in general, because no detail is omitted in a proper realistic drawing :P
