Watching this at 2 in the night, it’s calm, dark like the grave. My heart is trembling, when Shaykh was talking about the sand on face, I saw my whole day past before my eyes thinking was there anything worthy of a deed I did if I pass away tonight. Ya Rabb! Grant us a beautiful end, and grant us peace in our graves.

Also, the opening is the announcement made in Haram for the Janaza prayers. So many memories and such a chill running down the spine.

I am trying to take lessons from this great series.
Sharing with you all, hope it helps.

Sunnahs of Burial:

1. Rush to the burial site as soon as possible.
(Some of the sahabas said, when Sa'ad Ibn Mu'ad RA passed away and when they followed his Janazah, the Prophet SAW walked so fast that their shoes were coming off because of how quickly they were following the Janazah. That is the Sunnah of Prophet SAW)

2. Recite the duaas for placing the body in the grave.
"Bismillah wa ‘ala sunnati rasul- illah"
(In the Name of Allah and according to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah).
OR
"Allahummaghfir lahu Allahumma tsabbithu"
(Oh Allah forgive him/her, Oh Allah keep him/her firm)

2. Start with the feet, keep the body on the right side facing the qiblah.
And while placing, the sunnah is to ask for forgiveness for the deceased. And ask Allah to grant them steadfastness and firmness for the questions they are about to be asked.

4. Mention good qualities of the deceased as a lesson, without exaggerating.

5. Crying is sunnah but not to wail or shout.

6. Take three handful of dirt and scatter it over the deceased.

7. Stay at the grave a moderate amount of time, continuing to make duaa.

May Allah make those, working behind this, to be companions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Jannah.
