For those interested here are all the words to the poem.

The Jabberwocky

Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

I am not crazy about this narration. He mispronounced two words, that caused me to wince. Slithy should have a long i, pronounced like slimy, and frabjous is two syllables FRAB - JUS not frabjulous, or whatever the narrator said. That aside, this is one of my favorite poems of all time!

The Muppets did a version of this poem when they did Alice In Wonderland with Brooke Shields. Rowlf the dog was in that sketch. I love Rowlf from The Muppets. He and I used to write letters to each other. And I wrote a letter for him and in it I included some feedback on the performance of the Jabberwocky poem. Now I”m just waiting to hear what he has to say.

It’s pronounced like ‘jyre and jimble’ it’s a closed syllable and when an E, I, or Y follows a G, the G is soft.

The narration creates totally the wrong atmosphere in my opinion.

I could live with the mispronunciations (they are made up nonsense words after all so a subjective interpretation is permissible), but the accent is just wrong. This is quintessentially English prose and a transatlantic rendition just doesn't seem appropriate.

I'm very sorry, but I had to pause after the second sentence. This was horribly pronounced and made a mockery of Carroll's verse.

this is by me Nathan Laurence Inspired by this poem
Beware the Jabberwock Alice there's many prisoners in his palace
And they were lured down a burrow and shot with a bow and arrow
So stay away from that Rabbit hole your white dress will be black as coal
And then your father will disown you you'll have no home to go to
You'll lose your share in your father’s estate turn round now before it's too late
Or you will be consumed by hate and flung outside the gate
The carpenter and the walrus does not make you obnoxious
The truth will make you furious cause you know he's dangerous
The Jabberwock stories not true but it is meant to teach you
That if a story is not true it should not bother you
the oysters they were curious in his mouth in his mouth they were delicious
But you do not make a fuss cause it's just fictitious

this song is allegorical the jabberwock is satan Alice is all Christians
the prisoners are in Hell the hole is a place of temptation and sin
the white dress is purity the Father is God and so is the truth

What the hell is wrong with this guy. He completely missed the grimdark nature of this poem.

Horrible!
Read by someone with zero understanding of the mood this poem creates.
