The people in the audience should feel incredibly privileged to witness this in person...

The only member of the LOTR cast and crew who personally knew Tolkien.
His reading of Carroll's "The Jabberwocky" is the best.

He was 88 years old, and still got a lot of energy, lot of respect for this awesome man.

I bet his daughter had allot of fun having him read her stories when she was little.

Sometimes I forget that Christopher isn't actually Saruman. His voice is just so powerful, I wouldn't be surprised if it made mountains shake ;3

Imagine if Christopher Lee, Vincent Price, Steven Blum, Jim Cummings, James Earl Jones and Mako all sat down and just... Talked. To each other.

Rest In Peace, Christopher. You were an excellent actor, and an absolutely amazing man.

I honestly understand about a quarter of the text, but the way he speaks.. It is pure magic. I just love this.

I went to a coffee shop on Vancouver Island called "Javawocky". When I was ordering my coffee I recited the first four lines. It brought a smile to the barista's face and she said no one had ever done that before. I didn't get a free coffee, but she said sh gave me a discount. The important thing is it made her smile.

So far, I believe this is my favorite reading of this poem. It sounds right and true.

My Grandparents had a boat named the "Jabberwocky"...My Grandfather Roland Hamersma (8/19/00-11-1-89) Wrote the poem on the inside of his tool shed. Smartest man I've ever known...Always had a book to read or NY Times Crossword puzzle (In Ink) to do. I don't recall ever seeing any blank spaces left. RIP Pop Pop❤❤❤

My 7th grade teacher showed us this video in Language Arts when we studied Jabberwocky. All I remember was my whole class of 12 year olds absolutely losing their collective brain cell at this man. Yall have got to admit he reads it with a funny tone. It’s hilarious even 3 years later. My life has so much changed, though I still do love to come back to watch this video because it’s so hilarious. I love his reading of it. I’m 15 now. This man is a legend among my class

I find this interesting, as Christopher Lee would voice the Jabberwock himself in the Tim Burton film "Alice in Wonderland".

Christopher reciting this in his later years makes it even better I'd say. Had he been younger, I'm not going to lie, it wouldn't have worked as better in my opinion. Beautiful stuff!
Rest in power good sir <3
