Anyone who wants the full lyrics, I sing this in choir and I watched this and I was like “no fucking way”

‘Twas brilling and the slythy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe
All mimsy were the borogoves
And the mome raths out grabe
And the mome raths out grabe
Beware the Jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the teeth that catch
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch
The frumious Bandersnatch
The frumious Bandersnatch
The frumious Bandersnatch, the Bandersnatch
The frumious Bandersnatch!
Brrr!
He took his vorpal sword in hand
Long time the manxome for he sought
So rested he by the Tumtum tree and thought
And stood a while and thought
And as in uffish thought he stood
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood
And burbled as it came
And burbled as it came
And burbled as it came
And burbled, and burbled
And burbled as it came!
Ah!
One, two! One, two!
And through and through the vorpal blade went snicker snack!
The vorpal blade went snicker snack! Snicker snack!
Snicker snack!
Snicker! Snicker! Snicker! Snicker! Snack!
He left it dead and with its head
He went galumphing back
He went galumphing back
He went galumphing back
Galumphing back!
And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frapjous day! Calloo! Callay!
He chortled in his joy! His joy!
His joy! His joy! His joy! His joy! His joy!
Whee!
‘Twas bri-hi-lig and the slithy toves
Des gyre and gimble in the weh-habe
All mimsy were the borogoves
And the mome raths out grabe
And the mome raths out grabe
O frabjous day! Calloo! Callay!
O frabjous day! Calloo! Callay! Calloo! Callay! Calloo! Callay!
O frabjous day! Calloo! Callay!
Ta-da!

“You’re not the same as you were before. You were much more… much-ier. You’ve lost your much-ness.”
Why does that line hit so hard for me for some reason?

I love Depp in this scene, he made the hatter so memorable from this movie, especially with how he changes accents, none of them feel out of place.

*0:55** - "Mind..."*
I get chills every time he says that. You realize these events have really turned the Hatter into a traumatized man. Johnny Depp never fails a performance.

Fun fact: jd created the split personality by accident. He was working on another project and his accent was bleeding in and out. It was perfect though.

Johnny Depp is so talented and gifted; and one of the best actors of this century.

I like this version of the Mad Hatter. How switches between personalities, because of the trauma he endured, makes the character interesting.

I'm surprised no one noticed that when theres a close up of the Hatter the background it divided between day and night from the front of the Hatter to the back, it makes me recall the Tweedles story of the Walrus and the Carpenter.

"you don't slay" "i couldn't if i wanted to" is so much funnier now that "slay" has another meaning

this is by far the best version of the poem
Johnny Depp really went with a deep voice, almost making us really feel the fear of the poem, and with that mix of accents, the ambient and the soundtrack make it even darker

I don't care what anybody says this is one of my most favorite Johnny Depp characters ❤

All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

The Jabberwock with eyes of flame
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!

the poem from the actual book is:

'Twas brillig and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe
All mimsy were the borogoves
And the mome rathes outgrabe

"Beware the jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch
Beware the jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch"

He took his vorpal sword in hand
Long time the manxome foe he sought
So rested he by the Tumtum tree
And stood a while in thought

And, as in uffish thought he stood
The jabberwock, with eyes of flame
Came wiffling through the tulgey wood
And burbled as it came

One, two! One, two! And through, and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack
He left it dead, and with it's head
He went galumphing back

"And has thou slain the jabberwock?
Come to my arms my beamish boy
Oh, frabjous day! Callooh! Calley!"
He chortled in his joy

'Twas brillig and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe
All mimsy were the borogoves
And the mome rathes outgrabe

Brando would be so proud of. Mr Depp! He becomes the character! No other actor can touch him!
