A mother and daughter share their story of the loss of this 25-year-old loved one to fentanyl poisoning.

Naloxone, the active ingredient in 4mg Narcan and higher dose 8mg Kloxxado, along with many generic versions, can reverse an opioid overdose if administered quickly enough. Some areas have Naloxone available for free. Google it.

Schools should include these episodes in their curriculum. It’s terrible seeing all these parents burying their children.

Her story is not only sad for the sudden passing of her son, but the treatment she has received by detectives and law officials was horrendous.😭💔🕊️😠

I just lost my 29yr old son 5wks ago to fentanyl. I don't know how to live without him, so I understand what she meant when she said she didn't know how to live without Jake. Every morning when I wake up, he's the first thing that I think about, and it's like being punched in the stomach, every morning! I'm so sorry for her loss! This is a club that no parent wants to be a part of! God bless her for telling her story, to help others!🙏❤️

My sister lost two sons, one to murder in 2005, he was only 31 and second son died of overdose on 2021, April 12/13 and he was only 46. My sister suffered so much loss and her husband died in 5/2009 age 58. I never had children but my heart broke into a million pieces. I miss everyone who's gone, all my brothers and friends and just last year our oldest sister died in July 2022. RIP to everyone

I have so much respect for this wonderful mum. She admitted that her son was not perfect. That, to me, shows a parent who is under no illusion about her child. She made no excuses for him. I pray with all my heart that she can find a way to live with the searing pain the loss of her son has caused. I wish her peace. What a wonderful survivor. With love from me here in the UK. ❤🇬🇧

How can a detective tell a mother who just lost her son, he was acting a fool??? That person should never be allowed to speak to a grieving mother again!

What a wonderful mom - she is so well balanced in terms of knowing her son's accomplishments and his shortcomings. You can feel her sadness and also her strength.

Strong Mom admits her son wasn’t perfect. My respects to the family’s of people lost to drugs. We lost my sister in law in February to overdose. We have to fight for our children and talk to them they listen.

This could be my family’s story, and we’re living this nightmare in the moment. On May 30th, my brother was found dead in his car, with a plastic bag with a white powdery residue in it. Although the coroner’s report and the toxicology report won’t be back for quite awhile, in my heart of hearts, I know. He was a secret, recreational user, and none of us knew. We knew he was an alcoholic, and tried many times to convince him to get treatment. He was a very successful businessman, and because he was a functional alcoholic, he didn’t feel that it was that great a problem. Even though we kept trying, if someone doesn’t acknowledge they have a problem, or isn’t ready to make the changes and put in the work, you can’t make them. But we never gave up on encouraging him. I always felt that at some point this secret life would catch up with him, while at the same time, tried to remain hopeful that he would someday overcome his demons. He died 4 days short of his 60th birthday, and left behind 2 precious children, ages 2 and 4. And now there’s a little boy who will have some far away memories of his daddy, and a precious little girl who will never have any memories of her daddy, except for pictures and stories that people will tell her. And my brother, who had so many wonderful qualities about him, was a good man, and was so loved by his family, has been reduced to just another statistic.

Hello Jenny. This is Luis your exclassmate from El Paso High.
Your story is very inspirational.
I have an only son 24 year old and I would be very devastated if he'd died from an overdose, I am glad that his only hobby/addiction are video games and not alcohol or drugs.
I used to smoke weed in high school and the only reason I didn't do harder drugs is because I never had enough money to buy them.
I am gonna show my son this video.
Sorry for your loss Jenny,

Sadly, I come here for solace. A sense that I am not alone in what’s to come. My nephew is an addict and my intuition tells me that the day will come sooner than later. It is the inevitable. I thank you for these most real and moving testimonies. There isn’t a day that goes by without visiting your channel. I have viewed every single video, and afterwards I pray for each and every loved one and victim who is affected. I think about them continuously throughout my days and nights sending positive vibrations and peacefulness their way. Again, thank you. Truly.
Through Space and Time.

Incredible that the detective disparaged her son like that. He is the fool.
