A mother shares her story of losing her 22-year-old son to fentanyl poisoning.

Naloxone, the active ingredient in 4mg Narcan and higher dose 8mg Kloxxado, along with many generic versions, can reverse an opioid overdose if administered quickly enough. Some areas have Naloxone available for free. Google it.

Ma'am, I am very sorry for your loss. Watching you talk about your son and his love of sharks and his zest for life, broke my heart. You are a good Mom. Don't ever think that Bryce didn't know that. May you find peace and comfort. God bless you.

The mom seems so sweet. Glad she was honest about how mental health disorders impacted his life. Young men struggling with anxiety and depression is a common theme we've heard across these videos. Manic episodes from bipolar disorder are known to contribute to risk-seeking behaviors (like speeding in fast cars). It's important to work with doctors to manage mental health issues like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and severe depression with medication and therapy. Self medicating with drugs as a coping mechanism is NOT the answer. We need to end the stigma around these things that are connected to genetics, chemical imbalances in the brain, and trauma.

I'm so sad for this Mother. I'm so glad my daughter got off drugs before fentanyl came along because I know without a doubt it would have taken her life too!!! She's been in methadone treatment for 3 years now and she's finally doing better!! Prayers for this Mom. ❤

Bryce was out here living his best life. Having fun, doing regular young adult stuff. These drugs that people take for anxiety or just to chill out are becoming extremely dangerous that you might as well leave them alone. You can’t even experiment anymore.

Another heartbreaking death, this is so very sad.

But here is the critical point our young people need to grasp...that unless a tablet or drug is from a doctor or pharmacy directly, you have NO IDEA what is in it. It could contain fentanyl, rat poison, ANYTHING. The days of being able to dabble with drugs are gone, now its a deadly game of roulette. Its terrifying, absolutely terrifying.

Wow, she literally said the same at the end. Poor Mum.

“Something has to be done to stop the fentanyl deaths”… I agree. Maybe along with awareness we should close the border.

Knowledge is power...a lot of people are unaware of lacing drugs with fentynal or even what fentynal is. Thank-you for increasing awareness of this horrific epidemic! ❤️⚘️

I live in the UK and I’m probably naïve because I didn’t know about fentanyl either! It’s horrifying that it’s so easily accessible. I’ve watched quite a few of these videos and my heart breaks for the parents. I’m 57 and was worried about getting addicted to a prescribed pain killer so weaned myself of it after learning about how so many times it all starts with a prescription drug. Scary
