F=ma feels like an intro to physics. I think intentionally ? 😅 from pure math point, ‘separate’ the variables between the =, and continue from there. Love it🎉

I think one area that may confuse students is we have y = mx + b where _b_ is the y-intercept on the graph, but the equation has a variable _y_ that is not the y-intercept.

When we dealt with slopes in school, we always solved for coordinate points rather than the formula itself (this is how our textbooks had us go about it). I tried doing that again here but it's been 25 years; I wasn't successful.

Y=-2/3x+2, which indicates a line passing through the y axis at 2 when crossing x=0 and sloping down running 3 units right while dropping 2 units down. So when x=6, y=-2. Can't draw a line in a text box.

Why don't you quit enjoying listen to yourself talk and teach math? Also, the word "problem" has a b in it.
