Microsoft could be treading a legal tightrope with this; hiding a 'feature' on PC's that the average user isn't aware of - a 'feature' that caused a large controversy when announced, and so was back-pedalled on, with Microsoft stating that it would be Disabled by default.... Then they go and shove it out quietly in an update, and it's enabled!! 😳
Even if the PC in question isn't a CoPilot PC, who knows what it's doing as it's sitting there in the background; is it still cataloging everything you do anyway? Maybe phoning it home to Microsoft?

I have a win 10 laptop. After last update when I reboot I am asked to sign into recall. I DO NOT WANT RECALL.

ill add windows back onto my computers the day Microsoft gives its users the same ability to snoop thru there systems and servers .. maby take a screenshot of every one of there computers every 5 seconds and put it onto a public access site .. ideas for Anonymous to back engineer for public transparency .

I just brought a brand new PC with the Intel Core Ultra Series 2 which definitely adds recall. But those windows settings in privacy for recall, do not exist. But I did the cmd command and recall was there and enabled. So it seems Microsoft has removed the easy ability to disable, or inform users that recall exist.

Wouldn't temporarily removing RAM so there's < 16GB when installing 24h2 prevent recall installation? Would adding it back later result in automatic recall install or not?

May have nertz it. On web i found the name and location of Recall data folder. I created it and restricted access.
