"Life During Wartime" is definitely your next Talking Heads song.

Okay, hear me out. I've been begging every reaction channels to do it. On your movie channel, you HAVE to do "Stop Making Sense". It's a concert film of the Talking Heads, maybe the best ever made. Heck, even if you don't react to it, just watch it for fun. It's such an amazing show.

The songs on this album "True Stories" are the Talking Heads version of the songs sung by the actors in the "True Stories" movie. That movie was written and directed by David Byrne (the lead singer) and starred John Goodman (the dad from Rosanne), Swoozie Kurtz, etc. It includes the song "Radiohead" which is where the band Radiohead got their name. My favorite song on that album is "City of Dreams". Thanks for reacting to one of my favorite bands!

Yes, the dad from Roseanne, John Goodman, was the guy you recognized. And in case you didn't get some of the folks they were imitating, they had people dressed as Billy Idol, a generic hair band rocker, Kid Creole, a Meatloaf lookalike, Ralph Macchio's character in the Karate Kid, and a Prince lookalike, among others.

Fun Fact: In an interview Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles said that she is on backing vocals.

Yes guys, that was in fact John Goodman (the dad on Rosanne and many other great parts such as in The Big Lebowski, Flight, Raising Arizona, and too many others to name).

This is one of my favorite songs by them. Amber, I know you like quirky, and weird 80s songs and videos so I can bet you will like The Escape Club, “Wild, Wild West” …you’re welcome, lol 😆

"Take Me to the River" and "And She Was" are a couple of more classics from The Talking Heads.

Great one! Try "And She Was" and "Road to Nowhere" for more fun & weirdness from The Talking Heads.

I agree with Jay that Psycho Killer is my favorite Talking Heads song, but this one is a banger. The lead singer is DAVID BYRNE. Definitely check out "Stay Up Late", "Girlfriend Is Better", "Road to Nowhere" and "(Nothing But) Flowers". So many great songs from this amazing group!

Of all the Heads songs you've done, this one is chronologically the last. From the 70s through the 90s and beyond, they never lost their "unique" edge, though the 80s was when they seemed to be the most mainstream. This song was one example. I would love to hear you react to some other Heads songs from that time period, like "And She Was", "Road to Nowhere", "Stay Up Late", or my personal fave, "(Nothing But) Flowers". David Byrne is still the coolest cat you'd ever want to meet. And to answer your question, the dad in Roseanne was John Goodman, and yes, that was him.

Suggestions: “Nothing but Flowers” and “And She Was”. Both are fantastic. I don’t remember the videos, but the songs are great.

You guys need to check out their concert film Stop Making Sense. They proved their. Musicianship could translate to a live audience. One of the best concert films of all time but theres several songs you need to hear individually... Take Me to the River is a must.

Some of these quirky bands have some very intelligent people in them, that's what makes these groups unique. Great stuff.

An '80s classic y'all definitely should check out is, "our house" by Madness. Lots of horns, great bass line, awesome piano, just all around great song

David Byrne, the most talkative of the Talking Heads, wrote "Wild Wild Life" for the 1986 movie True Stories, which he starred in and directed. He recorded the songs for the film with the band, and that became their seventh album, True Stories. Many of these songs were used in the movie with the actors replacing Byrne's vocals, but the "Wild Wild Life" film version is identical to the one on the album.

It’s telling that all of those cameo’s were instantly recognized at the time, and Jay and Amber get about one in ten. Tempus Fugit. ✌️

"This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)" is a lot of people's favorite Talking Heads song, and also mine. It's very sweet and different from anything you've heard from them so far.
