To put it into perspective the PS4 Pro was 400 dollars while the PS5 Pro is 700, with the vertical stand and disc drive sold separately so will probably reach closer to 900. Absolutely insane

If they didn't specifically tell me, I wouldn't have even noticed that the image on the ps5 pro is "more crisp". Because, and this might be a surprise to you Sony, people actually MOVE in their games while playing. No one just stands still and looks at the damn grass.

The PS5 Pro is the console they promised us the PS5 would be. Then when there’s a slight price drop and people decide to buy it in 2 years, they’ll announce the PS6 that will definitely have 4K VRR, making it the console we all have been waiting for. This is not worth $700, that’s freaking crazy.

The whole things just reeks of corpo dumbassery. I really want Sony to get held to the flames like they deserve by the gaming community. Not only do they have the audacity to spike the price high but on top of that they removed key elements of a console to sell separately to make the price EVEN higher. WHO'S bright idea was it to remove the disk drive and sell it separate for 80 dollars?! ESPECCIALLY with the whole right-to-own controversy that Sony is embroiled in in regards to digital purchases. This has just reached batshit levels of unthinkable, that this kind of thing must've passed many desks leading up the reveal. And the cherry on top of this cake is the fact that there are basically no games for the PS5 to even warrant a stronger console. Sony just pushed their playerbase into becoming PC gamers, hilarious!

The recent news from Playstation is pretty funny.
- Shut down Concord after 2 weeks
- Leadership openly says "We don't have any IP"
- Announce new version of their current console that boasts better graphical fidelity at a ridiculous price
- Increase the price of their base controller without addressing the stick drift problems

All of this occurs at the same time Astro Bot releases aka their highest scoring PS5 exclusive that pays homage to the vast history of Playstation IP over the years, doesn't require a super computer to play, and only costs $60.
