I literally just got the email from PlayStation about the pro. Looking on their site. I think One of the biggest issues that they have is that there aren't any new games to highlight the system. All of these 'enhanced' games are games you've been playing for years some since the PlayStation 4

i know the digital vs physical. But myself being mostly a pc gamer since the 90's, Laptops stopped coming with a disk drive yearts before consols. PC gamers are used to digital, but PC users are used to steam and being able to move their games and them not being shut down, like Nintendo/Sony/Xbox shuts theirs down.

I'll stick with my Series S I got for $150. The irony is i can play way more PS1 and PS2 games on it than the PS4, PS5, and PS5 Pro

I own all systems and a top tier computer. Built computers for 25 years and buying all console generations to this day. Quality you get from a console at it's cost is amazing.

it's finally here, the age of PS5 Professional Gaming has arrived.

It's doing some nice Upgrades for certain Games as a whole but 700 Bucks is still abit on the heavy side for too get a PS5 Pro.

FYI for those buying a pro: you can just install the disc drive before ever powering the system on. I didn't see anyone specifically mentioning that. You don't have to patch it first or anything, it'll patch during initial setup.

Got mine today and also added disc to it plus 4tb. Only thing I don't like is the plastic removal sides. Feels cheap and wimpsy.

0:59 "...drop in replacement for your OLD ps5" I did not expect to hear old and ps5 in the same sentence, it still feels like ps5 released just last year

My testing in PS5 Pro so far
1. Monster Hunter World. Image quality didnt change BUT the 30 fps mode is still more stable (no frame dips). Added frame generation from my TV (Sony Bravia MotionFlow) and it became a game that was a beautiful game on resolution mode with smooth frames
2. Spiderman Miles Morales. Performance mode is so close to the Fidelity mode in image quality but now has better frames. Absolute win for PSSR. The best way to play the game, PS5 PRO PSSR
3. Yakuza Kiwami 2. 30 fps mode is more stable in Pro, didnt feel lag dips like I did on PS5 launch. Added Sony TV MotionFlow and it became playable now. It felt unplayable using on PS5 launch

Got my new Pro today! Took it home and got everything from the OG 5 transferred over. Fired it up, jumped into Rebirth, and thought "Holy shit! This thing is f***ing... okay. Just okay."

Seriously, it's not life changing. I had to keep rechecking to make sure I had the right graphics mode picked. Hopefully my opinion changes over the days to come, but initial impressions aren't that great. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I got it and noticed a few games running smoother. Visions of Mana runs silky smooth on the graphics mode. Wish I hadn’t just platinumed it!
