These are all really good points, but you're missing one: Go to a T14 school that doesn't have official grades. Columbia, Yale, Harvard, Berkeley and Stanford all do the P/H/HH system, and I think out of those five, only Columbia does class rankings. This makes OCI much easier for those who are in the bottom half, because employer's can't really decipher who is the best, because most students get mostly P's (a passing grade). Most of these schools also have MANY journals to join, so even if you don't make law review, you can still get on another journal and tick that box off on your resume. The real secret to being REALLY secure in your odds at big law is thus the LSAT. If you get a 170+ on your LSAT you are setting yourself up for entrance into one of these five schools, where almost every single student who wants a big law job ends up getting it. It pays off to slow down your application process until you hit that 170 score. I did that, and despite being a really terrible law student and no law review, my entry level big law job started at $200K. Just a tip for those out there. It's almost impossible to feel that secure in your job opportunities without that T14 entrance. Love your videos!

Omg you should make a video advising new lawyers right out of law school who don’t know how to do anything and are either worried or asking questions at work every second. It’s so stressful.

Thank you so much for your video! It is extremely helpful! I am a 1L student and my fall semester grade is not competitive! I am just wondering you mentioned summer school course, is it the same thing as summer program? Our law school has a few summer exchange program but I am not so sure if it’s the same thing

I was wondering if there are hierarchies within extra curricular or does it depend? The general rule people have explained is Law Review ( school Flagship) > Moot Court> and Mock trial. I was wondering if you have experience in Moot Court or Mock trial would it help compensate for not making Law Review if you were interested in a specific department, like litigation, where those skills you learned may better transfer. I was also wondering if you can’t make the Flagship Law Review what is the next best thing to help your application in regards to extra curricular, would making like a specific Review for an issue be best or Moot Court or Mock trial be the next best thing?

Love your videos, but your audio quality has been off lately. The audio is fuzzy and distant.

All the stuck up kids at my school are the really dumb low-ranked ones who think they’re going to get Biglaw jobs right out of law school with all their debt. On the other hand, we got the super nice and humble intelligent students at the top of the class who are actually going to get Biglaw jobs and have no debt. 😂 It’s interesting to see what insecurity does to people. I’m thinking about recommending this video on our entering class’ Facebook page for students in both categories anyway. Lol.
