Thank you @The Aspiring Boss great video I did not know a lot of the information that you provided about big law. I think the best route of getting into big law starts with having the correct plan the first being the Lsat and getting into a good to great school then getting the great grades, its a process but the hard work up front and you get in the club.

Thanks for the informative video. How does age factor into Big Law chances? Specifically, for forty-year-olds?

Thank you for your video, it was super helpful!
On another note, I just wanted to ask - I’m finishing my degree in econ with concentrations in business and finance, and I’m going to go into a full-time job as an assurance associate for three years, then work towards a J.D. I kind of already know what I want to specialise in - cross-border transactions, i.e., being an international lawyer. Any tips you can give me? I feel like I asked so much people but I’m just so uncertain and I don’t really see a clear path yet … so I’m a bit scared. Any advice would be helpful, thank you!

Do you need to be at a top ranked school to be accepted as a summer associate? Could I get a summer internship while attending a mid-level school like Temple University?

Thank you for such great content! I am not sure if you still answer the questions under this video, but I would love to know your opinion. My husband has 4-5 years of experience as an associate attorney.

- 1 year as a Law Clerk in D.C. working for the government.
- 1 year as Hearing Attorney in Buffalo, NY - representing claimants in SS disability.
- 2 years as Associate Attorney in Health Law representing physicians, hospitals, and medical institutions in malpractice defense throughout all stages of litigation.

His interest is in health law. He graduated from the University of Richmond, Virginia (full 3 years). His school is not in the top 14 schools. His university produces only around 14% of graduates that get into big law. It is a small number compared to the top schools.

Do you think he has any chance to break into big law through LATERALING? If yes, do you have any recommendations on how he should do it apart from the networking? I appreciate the honest opinion and absolutely no hard feelings! Wish to see more of your content, it is great! Good luck with your own practice!

Which law school did you go to? Also, do you think going to a school that is higher ranked, but you are underqualified for will hurt your chances of doing big law?

Can you also be paid 100k+ at a mid size law firm? Or can you only earn that much in big law? Is the work-life balance better at mid size law firms? More of a 9-5?
