I love watching your videos. I'm in the summer of 1L, gearing up to start 2L and one of the questions I've had is how best to approach networking with firms over the 1L summer. If you are reaching out to a firm for a coffee chat, should you reach out to partners? recent grads? mid-level associates? Wondering if you'd be interested in doing a video on navigating 1L summer networking, or networking in general. What is kosher and what isn't. Just a thought. Thanks for your vids!

Did you both have connections and mentors before you went to Law School? Because I'm a Junior in college, and I literally know no one that's a lawyer. I know a ton of pre-law students, but they all have aunts and uncles that have law firms, etc.

Such good tips! I am from Durham but I went to Howard Law in DC so when I apply other places I do get the question about why I want to work there, even when I do interviews in North Carolina. Alsoooo #DukeNation !! #SI6HTS

were there any classes at Columbia that helped you prepare for interviews? Like handshaking and what to wear and what to avoid? Also, both of y'alls dresses are beautiful can you please drop some professional places you shop at?? I'm about to start a law internship but love to wear sweats, hoodies, PJs, etc, so could use some direction!

I don't know ... I worked for one of the top global law firms for decades - I got to see everyone from every IVY league school - no offense - but, if you presented yourselves as you do in this video - I don't see how you got in. This goes FOR ANY racial background one might have.

Perhaps it's simply that you are portraying your self with your guard down right now.
