Finding Larvitar in dark cave was a surprise.
Furret has also been a super reliable damage dealer early on. Good coverage with normal stab, thief, and cut.

absolutely KILLED it with this ROM my man! Having a Zubat with a flying move early on really helps build it up through Sprout Tower!! And a Houndour before Faulkner is amazing!!

I've been playing this all week when i get off work. I can't tell you how much fun I've been having playing the gen2 games again. I would like to personally thank you for buffing Octozooka because i love using Octilllery.

If you're patient, you can get a Cubone with Thick Club in Union Cave! It doubles its attack power and has a 2-3% chance of a wild one holding it. With its good bulk, I think it's quite good! ^^ at least it has been for me as I just got all the Kanto badges with it on my team. Just buy a dozen pokeballs or so, save the game, catch Cubone, and if you run out of balls, reset and keep going so you don't spend a bunch on balls =)

I LOVE THIS ROMHACK, man, i've been playing it a lot and having hondour/growlithe by the first gym made me see how varied the game could have been. I might restart with chikorita when im done, but having water/fire/leaf alternatives pretty early on is amazing.

I'm not terribly far into the game yet but so far I think one of my favorite changes is the swap of ghost and dark being physical and special. It just feels so right

Been loving the ROM! It's amazing how so many of these changes weren't in the base game. Pokemon that you would never dream of using suddenly become viable or just available haha.

As someone who loves Houndour and Houndoom (heckin good pups) it's great to see them available in an early game setting! Excellent work!

At first I was excited to use Houndour/houndoom because of fire and dark both being special. I found out through in game dialogue that dark is now physical, making Larvitar an amazing pick up. Which is now my new choice for a dark mon.

This ROM actually made the game interesting and challenging for the first time in a long time, I’m at the second last gym (ice one) and am not making it pass in a good way because of how challenging it is. Good work Smith

Picked up a Poliwag, going to take Poliwrath to the end game! <3 Cant thank you enough for this awesome edit of Gen 2. Silver has always been my favorite since it has a sentimental meaning to me. As a kid, I wasn't fortunate enough to convince my parents to buy me Crystal version since I already had Silver. So, this is actually my first time playing through Crystal. Aside from that, flash back many years ago, I was passing through Las Vegas with my mom and aunt and had to stay a night there. We were walking though New York, New York hotel and low and behold, I found a copy of Pokemon Gold on the ground near a trash can. I had my Game Boy Color on me back at the hotel room and when I popped the game in, booted it it was damaged. The upper right corner was completely blacked out and not visible. I digress, Gen 2 will always be my favorite, I have blissful memories playing Silver. (I still have my original copy of Silver)

Been playing the Crystal Legacy romhack on my Retroid Pocket 3+ & been absolutly loving it. Currently at the Mahogany Rocket Hideout with 5 badges and a team around Lvl 26-28 consisting of:
1)Quilava
2)Flaaffy
3) Larvitar (finally I can use my favorite gen 2 evo line thoughout the whole game)
4) Politoad (thanks for the added feature to allow it to evolve without trading)
5)Heracross
6)Xatu


I've really been enjoying discovering all the various changes, enhancements and suprises I've encountered so far that have been added. Hats off for the amazing job you and the rest of your team did on this Romhack.

I’ve never been so badly decimated by Bugsy before. Scyther with a Bug type Cut absolutely decimates Houndour and Hoothoot. I deliberately chose to not go with Mareep for my first playthrough, and chose Chikorita, so I was surprised at how hard this run suddenly became compared to other Crystal romhacks with the same team, even with everyone’s buffs. This rom hack is great!

It's not in the documentation but I cannot stress this enough: USE HERACROSS!!!
(Headbutt trees still work the same as before, Cut AND Rock Smash both got insanely buffed and Heracross is now a monster!)





Edit: If you're nuzlocking, as long as you have an Ekans it's guaranteed before Whitney, if not there is an online tool to find rare headbutt trees in Azalea Town based on your trainer ID and you can get it before Bugsy by catching a Furret (which learns Headbutt before you can access Cut to get it normally)

Been playing Legacy whenever I get the chance and I've been really loving the changes made. From the changes to bug typing to the 5th 6th and 7th gyms changing their team up depending on the order you fight them, I'm always looking forward to pulling out my steam deck to play whenever I get a break at work.

The very first zubat I found was a shiny! his name is Pinkerton and he's now a fully grown crobat at this point. Definitely bringing him to the league!
