You really do a great job. I would like to add from my point of view that Xlookup replacing index match. As you know, old version of office, there is no Xlookup.
I am following you.. keep going 💪 good job 👏

That x lookup is incredibly convenient! Prior to the x look up being added, I would sometimes have to move the column data to be able to pull the right cells.

Loved the video! Are there any other formulas that could be used when reconciling balance sheet accounts? This was super helpful.

OMG!! Thank you very much for explaining it so clearly! 🥰
I was wondering why everyone said XLookup is better than VLookup : now I get it! Yes XlookUp is wonderful. 👍🏾
Also I did know about "end of the month". Thx

However personnaly I also use a lot of TEXTE formulas : Concat ; TextAfter; TextBefore ; right; left; etc.
If I may suggest to do an 2nd video which include more formula for no-number data analysis.

Because nowdays software know how to analyze number as well, if not sometime better than us. But it still need to be improved little bit for no-number analysis.

Thus I think in the future, in order to make the difference, accountants will have to analyze more no-number data.
At least that's what I think, but I might guess it wrong.

Great content as always. I have an accounting career question though: I read your comment on another one of your videos that you usually like to move around jobs every five years. I like this idea because every accounting manager job in any accounting specialty (accounts payable, accounts receivable, audit, and tax) all seem to require at least (at bare minimum) 5 years in the specialty for the manager job to which one is applying. I am 40 with a Master's Degree in Accounting because I started late and just got my first accounting job in Accounts Receivable. I hope to get 5 years experience in A/R and then go on to 5 years in A/P before hopefully doing 5 years of staff accounting. But what accounting specialties do you recommend after that? Will I be equipped to be an accounting supervisor or manager by that time? I will be only 55 years old after 5 years in each of the 3 accounting specialties that I just mentioned. I hope to never retire as I enjoy working in general (as I have a very solid work ethic). So, what are your recommendations?
Thanks for any help that you can provide. (By the way, I used to live where you live: meaning in Bergen County, NJ. Great place).

Great video Bill! Started dabbling more with excel over the last year, working on a few different excel certifications right now, but excited for the day where I feel more comfortable with it and start using it more. So many great features and excited to become a pro in it over the next few years as I stay in the finance/accounting world early next year!
