The DARK SECRETS of Belize's BLACK HOLE

Belize is famous for it's Great Blue Hole. A near perfect circle far off the coast, but did you know that it has another sinkhole, one that is even more mysterious, it's called the Black Hole.

This cave was used for Mayan Sacrifice about 1000 years ago, and together with a small band of explorers we push into it's depths to find a treasure... A Crystal Skull.

Big love to Ian Anderson's Caves Branch Adventure Lodge for all the help putting this together. You can visit this cave too! Contact them here:

Absolutely stunning. A civilization of over a thousand years ago had a sacrificial altar that seems to be frozen in time. To think as well that they only had torches to light their path. Seeing this makes one sit back and just ponder.

Nothing like a Fearless & Far episode to get through the last work day before a long weekend. Always love the content.

I hope you didn't miss out on the Lamanai ruins of Belize! I went exploring there by myself with a broken-down jeep and found I had an entire ancient Mayan city to myself. Once of the most amazing places I've ever been to with the howler monkeys in the trees, lost temples still under the growth, and of course the famous jade faces!

Carlos was my tour guide to go canoeing in a cave and ziplining when I was in Belize! Awesome guy, fountain of knowledge and took time to explain the culture and history. Definitely need to go see Black Hole next time I visit Belize!!!

DEFINITELY not as exciting or as dangerous as your awesome adventure, but in the 60's I went to a privately owned cave in Missouri. You climbed through a small hole, down a handmade old wood ladder into a cave that had been used for a 1700's Native Am burial site. Sticking out of the calcified walls was a calcified child. In a sitting position, it's hair, head, face, and 1 knee were still protruding and even the eyelashes were calcified. We were not allowed to take any pictures, but that memory has stayed vivid in my mind for 57 years.

@fearlessandfar.. I am disabled and therefore unable to go do things like this anymore but it's so awesome to be able to live vicariously through these badass videos! Love your work, brother! Super insightful and special!✌️❤️

Another excellent video and adventure, Mike. Another of my favorites of yours! From the ant-eating at the beginning, to rappelling down into the sinkhole, to venturing deep into the caves for one of the coolest adventures I've ever seen on YouTube, this is an instant Fearless & Far classic. You finding the broken pottery and obsidian blade was already cool enough, but seeing you come across the crystal skull blew my mind. Incredible, man. 🐉🔥

You finding the child skull came at the perfect time. I'm studying forensics and I'm currently working through anthropology. I just saw an infant skull and had to identify it's characteristics, and it looked very similar to that.

Man all of those guys were LEGENDS! What a fun trip. I hope you can do more with them someday in the future!

I'm old enough to remember when Discovery Channel was good. You, my friend, are better than they ever were in every way. Your editing of this is incredible!

As I think you have said in the past, other channels are not competition, there is room for everyone. I would watch a channel run by these guys (in addition to yours!)

I love watching all his videos, when comes to adventuring in different places or cultures, us people we didnt know he was so open minded and respectful. By far this man is actually educating me with stuff I really didn’t know. Big props to you man, thank you for showing everyone all your experiences when it comes to being a traveler.
