At a very primal basic level, I find the ocean terrifying beyond words.

I just came here to say, I’m glad there’s people like you to film the experience so I don’t have to go out and do this, y’all are plum crazy 🤣

This looks exactly like the place where I wouldn't want to be.

The person laughing at the end is who I wish I would be … but I would be the one loudly gasping for air and crying for my blankie

OMG, The sensation of that vast amount of water folding in on itself was just immense. I felt it in my heart. I NEVER want to be in that watery situation.

No matter how confident or comfortable I feel when swimming…..it never escapes my frame of mind….that I need to respect large bodies of water. It’s incredibly intimidating yet Beautiful 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🏊🏾

In 1970 Santa Monica California I was 10 years old it was around midnight me and family members and friends were walking along the shore I felt a little bit behind everybody started digging in to the sand a big wave got me and drug me in I was spinning in circles being pulled in I I didn’t know what was up or down but somehow I felt my feet hit the sand so I started crawling like a crab and I was able to break the viselike grip of the water that was holding me down and eventually I crawled out of the water spitting out sand seaweed and salt water I don’t know how long I was under but I couldn’t see my family I only heard their faint voices Way far ahead of me I eventually caught up with them. It’s pretty frightening nobody knew that I was missing I believe if I didn’t survive they probably wouldn’t have noticed that I was gone until the next day because all the adults were drinking including my mother. Since then I’ve always had respect for the ocean and even though my kids can swim and my grandkids I don’t allow them to go anywhere beyond above their waist in the water. One thing I learned You don’t have time to be afraid when you’re fighting for your life

Imagine being in the Atlantic with no land in sight and you're dealing with a major storm and 60 foot waves. That's when you become very respectful of the ocean and terrified at the same time. This gives me PTSD.

Liquid. Solid matter that you can cut in half and it instantly rebinds to like molecules. Amazing.

For those wondering, this is at Teahupo'o. One of the "heaviest" waves in the world.

The ocean, something I both fear and admire.

Насколько великолепна природа 😍❤😘. Как жаль, что люди не ценят нашу планету 🌏 и эту замечательную природу 🌊. Без зазрения совесть загрязняют океаны, всю планету и космос.
