Some people are being disingenuous. It was 'horseplay' with a gun that Baldwin fully believed had blank ammunition in it. He, like other actors, will have held pieces like that hundreds of times in their careers and of course will have played around with them. Even using them in the film is, by its very nature, 'playing around'.

If she advocated for dismissal then why did she walk out after getting caught and before the dismissal even happened?

She needs some iron she looks depleted.. she was smart to resign. I wouldn't go down for a DA that's corrupt..

I feel Seth Kenney from PDQ props wanted to setup Hannah Reed. And putting reloaded rounds to look like dummies.

When a defendant lies about pulling the trigger…it makes you wonder why would he lie. He knew he pulled it.

Is she the judge’s sister? They look so much alike!

Of course she did. She is an ethical attorney.

If this case doesn't show recklessness than I don't know what does. You never point a weapon anyone you don't intend to shoot. There is no excuse to not knowig this most basic gun safety rule.

Why'd she quit? Was it the Brady violation?

I'm confused. She looks like the judge

I’m not a fan of Alec Baldwin, but abusing the criminal justice system like this is disgusting. This woman should be disbarred and imprisoned.

I wasn't able to watch the case all the way through. Exactly what kind of evidence did the other side hold back on? Does anyone know what evidence this was?

Okay - horseplay and playing with dummy weapons happens on set. It happens. However, I have never seen anyone play with real and live weapons - unless they don't know the weapon is real or live. I have been on thousands of sets over 20 years of acting.

Also showed absolutely no remorse except for himself he is a liar he was wreckless and he knows that he pulled the trigger he is just as responsible for hiring inept help just to save money and he was also the producer that is why his defense fought so hard to keep that out of his trial this is no different than someone getting behind the wheel and driving drunk the judge would if went for a retrial instead of dismissing this case if Alex wasn't famous in my opinion once again a rich celebrity gets off Scott free and hylayna get no justice I hope her family sues the pants off of him in civil court I feel so bad for her family left without a mother sister wife etc and Alex just acts like it Is no big deal shame on him

I am thankful and grateful Alec is free. It was a total witch hunt against him. The prosecutors didn’t their jobs. They needed to investigate the victim’s husband and others who likely set it all up to look like an accident keeping Alec in the dark and for him to take the fall.

sounds like a brandon Lee repeat, play with guns you die

She wanted to raise her profile, I would think practice moves & laughter would happen on every movie set, part of making a story. This was a tragedy & to use that as a way to promote your career is appalling

Okay, now I’m irritated w her. She was all gung ho Alec Baldwin is a BAD GUY at opening and now this??? She’s trying to save face. Just because you didn’t charge doesn’t mean you participate in the prosecution! She wanted her 15 minutes too. It’s all BS. Although she didn’t participate in Brady violation.
