As a professional truck driver for 23 years who grew up in his dads rig, female truckers are far more common now than they used to be. You may not have seen one down there, but they are everywhere now. And making sharp (seemingly impossible) turns is just part of the day for us 😂

I was watching one of these RV shows, can’t remember who’s, but they had a tank expert out to service their tanks on RV. The technician said it is best to keep your valves closed when hooked up to sewer, and then open them once a day or every other day and drain them and close valve again. That way more liquid stays in tank and you don’t develop the toilet paper poop mountain that happens when you are connected to sewer. That is what causes odors and clogs, and increased smells.

When dry camping our kitchen dish water goes down the toilet. Saves room in the gray tank and it’s great for the black tank when it’s time to flush.

I have been watching your channel for a while now and would just like to compliment Kyle on his editing skills. I’ve done minimal video editing with iMovie and have come to realize there is a real art to pulling in clips, adding music, links, titles, transitions, etc. It is something most people just take for granted when watching a video. So - well done Kyle - keep up the good work. I’m looking forward to following you through your caravan travels and whatever lies around the next bend in your road. 😊

I was excited when I learned my fifth wheel had 70 gallon gray water capacity! That was double my travel trailer capacity of 35 which seemed to fill in two days with two people. Then I realized it was two 35 gallon tanks, one for the kitchen and one for shower/ bath sink . I have used the equalizer method several times to get another day or so of showers!

Our fifth wheel also has the electric leveling system. I have a bubble level on the front of the trailer and use blocks under the wheels to get it close to level side to side, no more that 1 bubble off. On my trailer if it is 2 bubbles off side to side the leveling system will lift the low side tires off the ground. Put blocks under the front jacks, extend the inner legs to within 6" of the blocks and lift the trailer off the truck with the front jacks. I don't drop the front down before leveling. Always put blocks under the rear jacks before auto leveling so you don't run out of stroke on the jacks. I don't let the rear jacks extend more than 4" to 6" before they contact the blocks, remember the rear jacks only have 12.5" of stroke if they extend too far you will get an error.

You are correct Carl. Chad did do an episode where he shared that RV pro tip. Nailed it. Stay safe, stay well.

Hey guys. We love watching you. Our vet tells us that pets traveling in their bed on the floorboard experience great stress. We moved our fur babies to the be on the back seat and it fixed the problems.

Chad and I learned (of course the hard way) that doing any amount of traveling with your black tank not completely empty will give you a very stinky potty at your next destination. We stay at a lot of places with out full hook-ups so totes-ma-goats and a portable fresh water bladder are a must.

I was one of the first people in that park. When it opened in the 80’s

As someone who has a small travel trailer and full times- my gray and black tanks are ONLY 13 gallons each! I can boondock for about 1-2 weeks without dumping

Love watching you guys great production value, keep up the good work!

We are new to camping. We bought a 40’ fifth wheel, yes we went large for the first. I have a story about the Lipert electric auto level. When we first got our camper with the Lipert electric jacks (6 point auto level) we had issues getting auto level to work on our slightly sloped asphalt driveway at home. Keep in mind we are so green, we are new to newbies, and this was the first time ever doing this. Auto level would do all kinds of wacky things. I had to reconnect the truck I think 10 times to get the system to reset before we figured it out. What I had to end up doing is lowering the front jacks so that the RV was perfectly level from back to front to back using the manual level on the control panel. Once I had 0 degrees fro to to back I then hit auto level.

The dealer said just unhook and hit auto level, nope not for us! I thought lord we cant even do the simplest thing, what have we gotten into. Our driveway is just slanted enough that the front is high enough to make the RV way off level from front to back. The first time we hit auto level as the dealer told us to do the rear jacks over extended raising the tires off the ground and then stoped with a code and shut off! Took forever to get the rear jacks to retract, like - turn on lower, it would shut off, power on, lower it would shut off. It did this no telling how many times before the tires touched the ground again. So what I have found with others is get the RV close to level manually then hit auto level to fine tune it. The system can handle that it seems fairly well, but if the level is far off it wont work. So yes manual level then auto level.

my home! So many memories there with my son over the years! I’m so glad y’all loved the state park!
I know y’all are probably long gone but, save this for next time.. If you haven’t already heard of Magnolia Beach in Magnolia Beach, Tex., free beach camping (no hook up’s for at least 14 days! Hard oyster shell and the tide doesn’t raise there… perfect. Just load up on everything you need before you get there. Dump tanks, grocery shop… everything…
And enjoy!
Safe traveling!

The gray water tank you can dump in the bushes and it’s completely legal.

I carry my sewer hose extension in a Home Depot 10-gal bucket. A few times each year, I use that bucket to dump some gray water, drive to the dump station - it easily removes nearly a third of my small travel trailer’s gray water. Without spending hundreds of dollars on a fancy tote. Great video!
