$100 a night to park your RV. Crazy!
For that price, might as well live in a hotel room and dont have to worry about repairs or cleaning the place.

Glad 😊 you let everyone know there are cons to living in an RV. It is still an amazing 👏 lifestyle.

It's good to see the cons of this lifestyle too, it's not something that's talked about often.

Thanks for the realistic viewpoint. I don’t participate in van life, but watching many other videos, most say how wonderful and perfect van life is, without acknowledging the downside.

Thank you for sharing. In can appreciate the difficulty of continual movement, not knowing how places are, with the cost of everything is soaring. I’m glad you got to do what you want when you can, within reason, if course. So many people can’t live out a dream like that. Bless you and happy travels!

Come north in summer... my area has great spots running from $25 to $40 a night

I hear walmarts welcome rvs . Why not, they get free security having a rv set up. I saw a family with patio set, set up in parking spot beside them and bbq going. Haha

I agree on the maintenance but my nightly rates average about 65.00 and monthly rates are much lower between 600-1200 unless you are at really high end resort.

That’s why setting up your RV for dry camping is the way to go. Most of the western United States has a lot of open forest and BLM land to camp on for free. And it is so much prettier than being in a campground.

My campervan can park in any normal parking spot. I rarely pay to park.

Love the cabinets in your RV. Can you give me the make and model?

I can deal with EVERYTHING you said except for the being handy and fixing things. There are some RV issue that would be above my pay grade and I would hate to be stuck in the middle of no where and something major happens. That being said, I still love that life style ❤

Wow, glad I sold my Class A back when it was not quite so expensive.

As far as full time working is concerned, I got a 5th wheel with a full sized office in it that's sectioned off from the rest of the RV. It makes working much easier. 2 people can be online in 2 different rooms easily.

State campgrounds are the way to go. A week costs about $160, in New York. That's about $22 a night. But you have to fill up your fresh water tank, before you park, and dump your waste tanks, when you leave.

Something about parks in my area is that many won't let older campers in. Even beautifully restored Airstreams can be denied because they're "too old". Also, when I lived in truck camper a lot of places wouldn't let me stay more than a week because they said I'd spread out too much and look trashy. I literally had a hibachi and a lawn chair.

We're FT RVers who boondocks most of the time, living for free on BLM and Forest Service land. When we do stay in RV parks, we find inexpensive ones and stay monthly, so pay their monthly rates. Last winter we stayed in a nice S TX RV park. Our 50A FHU site cost us $170/mo + electricity which averaged about $85/mo. The winter before last we stayed in LTVAs in Quartzsite, AZ and Imperial Dam, CA for less than $1 a day ($180 for 7 months) which includes free unlimited water, dump and trash disposal in addition to a nice safe, level place to stay near other similarly minded RVers.
