You failed to mention the most important part sometimes you can hit the mute button on the remote control, and it also effects the sound from the TV. Make sure you go to your home screen and all the way at the bottom of your screen and hit the unmute button.

I turned off my PS5, switched to Netflix, then went back to my PS5 and it worked.

Put my ps5 in rest mode and when I turned it back on the sound was gone. None of these suggestions have worked for me either, only way I get sound now is through my headphones.

Changed it to Dolby then bk to linier and it worked for me

The issue is with hdmi. Just remove it and plug it again or switch between the one connected with tv and the one with ps5 . If still it isn't fixed get a new hdmi cable

I plugged in headphones to my PS5 and it automatically swapped over, now I can't swap my PS5 audio back to my speakers.

Another one to try is unplugging your tv, then plugging back in.
