When you want to relocate, people around you always say something negative about it only because they don't like the fact that their life changes too by people leaving. Just go and make your life better.

For all those people who felt the need to weigh in on their decision, telling them it’s too far and they don’t have any friends or family there. Maybe that’s the point. She said she wants it to be just about her and her man. You think they don’t know they’re leaving friends and family behind? And for Steve to suggest Palm Springs. They’ve done their research. They know where they want to go. I hope they listen to their hearts, move to Seattle and enjoy each other!!!

Looking at it from a caregiver's point a view....If their health is good, by all means. But it should be considered if one or both should fall ill, the toll of having to visit to care for them or hiring dependable help...js

I will say this. Seattle is a great place. The scenery and environment is absolutely beautiful. The summer and falls here aren’t even bad; freakin gorgeous actually. but if you’re moving here, do bring a rain coat and some sweaters cause it is a lot colder.

She is so kind. I would tell it to my son straight that this is our retirement life & the household will not be for you stay or live more than 2 weeks.

I appreciate this question though bc it gets at change of life / of location where I will be looking at change of lifestyle & am a bit concerned about other's feedback on the desired mobile life I may choose. You have to consider where they are coming from their own filters, limitations or lack of experiences which may affect their responses which I may not want to unduly influence my decisions
