According to my understanding Disney sequels weren't even made to be good, but instead to train a new set of animators while grabbing some money in the process? It's really nice to see that some absolute gems came out of that

The emotion in your voice changes so much when you switch from the worst to the best sequels 😂

Peter Pan himself was much nicer in Return to Neverland than he was in the original. In the first movie, he was all about having fun & never noticed when others were physically or emotionally hurt by his antics. But he was much more empathetic towards Jane, perhaps because he still had feelings for Wendy. And he never yelled at Jane for not being Wendy - he accepted Jane as her own person. That’s more mature than most adults.

I actually enjoyed “Cinderella III” and “Peter Pan II” *M U C H* more than than the originals

I loved how even Lion King 1 1/2 kept up with the Shakespeare theme. It’s all one big reference to a parody play called “Rosencratz and Gildenstern are Dead”, centered on two EXTREMELY minor characters in Hamlet and their reactions to all of the events of “Hamlet”.

I'm honestly really happy seeing Peter Pan 2 at the top of the list, everyone around me looked down on it as a poorly made sequel, but as a child I was invested into it from beginning to end, and that still hasn't changed to this day. If anything, as an adult I can see even more then what I did back then.

You have no clue how happy I was to see Cinderella 3 make it into the list. No one ever seems to talk about it and in my opinion, it’s more entertaining than the original. The prince is so charming in this film and you get to see he actually has a personality. (Now I see why she fell in love with him) Honestly, it was just fun to watch.

Where is Beauty and the Beast 3: Lafou's Revenge ?

Lafou:" Gosh it disturbs me to see you Gaston, six feet deep in the ground" *starts crying*

I always thought the scene where Peter meets Wendy as an adult was the best scene in Return to Neverland.

Personally my most hated Disney sequel is Pocahontas 2. I know the original story is fake history and kinda contrived and dumb but it was visually stunning and so beautiful to watch (plus day music). The sequel managed to do everything in its power to dump on everything that made the original so good x.x

Yes yes yes Peter Pan 2 has a really special place in my heart

Fun Fact: Rescuers Down Under was made by mainstream Disney. The vast majority of these were made by Disneytoon Studios, famous for awful sequels, but it was the only sequel Disney made before Disneytoon opened, so it got full attention by the best animators and writers. Lucky for it!

Bambi 2 will always be the absolute best to me - but regarding The Little Mermaid 2. It makes sense that Ariel would mature after what she's been through since it was her ignorance that nearly led to the destruction of her home under the sea. Parents who were rash and bull-headed in their youth are usually the ones who will warn their kids against certain activities. This could've been a very convincing change for Ariel had there been an actual "real." threat and good dialogue.

3:33 Ariel stretches her neck like a giraffe. The little mermaid two is the perfect example of why the first movie doesn’t need a sequel and prequel except for the series.

I liked Peter Pan 2 loads more than the original as a child.

Peter Pan II just throws my childhood back to me and that’s a reason I love it Xx
