Thanks for having me on as a guest on this video, Strider. Had so much fun going over these modern episodes!
(Also oh god my voice is so deadpan. These crossovers always kinda remind me how dry my personality is, lol. It's a curse!)

Fun fact: The episode “Holidays of Future Passed” was intended to be the series finale.

One thing I will give Co Dependent's Day is this joke
Homer: "I'm drunk I shouldn't drive."
"What a minute I'm drunk I shouldn't listen to me."

The Simpsons will never end. Eventually they will have enough sound bites that they will be able to form entire episodes of new material from pre-recorded episodes.

So back me up here, when Homer calls the ninja pajama guys, that's a Ninjago reference right?

I always felt that the Simpsons/ Futurama crossover was a soft conclusion to both shows in a way, ending the Simpsons we're all familiar with, with a nice crossover episode.

Tbh, I want a Disenchantment and Simpson’s crossover.

"He who gives up on Weird Al has given up on life"
Homer Simpson (That 90's Show)
The best part of that episode,

Fun Fact: The Worst Story Ever D'ohed is based off a real mental condition people get when they travel to Jerusalem/Israel (I can't remember)

In my opinion
The greatest story ever Doh'ed could've been Ned just feels like taking Rod and Todd to show them Israel and Homer winning a trip to come along
It would at least make a tad bit more sense.

I do watch everything now and still enjoy but I was quite shocked at Barthood and how good it was! I really love it

"Halloween Of Horror" from Season 27 is one of my favorite Simpsons episodes of all time. I never see anyone else give it love, but I think it's genuinely hilarious, spooky and touching with really excellent animation.

These are good choices for the best 5 modern eps, though I don't love the Futurama crossover. I agree with those who say it's rushed. I think it should have been a 2 parter.

Brick Like Me is a homage to the Lego Movie that does its own thing and not a ripoff of the Lego Movie. That's why it works.

There’s a single GREAT joke in the simpsons safari;
“It was a bloodless coup - all smotherings”

"I legitimately respect Musk", and Gaga is "legitimately insulting as a 20-something child star"

Wow that's.... a take that a person could have.

I'm always happy to see good modern Simpsons, it reminds me the show hasn't lost all of its charm 😁

"I respect Elon Musk"

You're a more forgiving person than I am

Barthood is my favorite future episode, mostly because it’s the only one that treats Bart with some dignity. He’s not written to be some kind of failure or is overly pathetic. He’s a mild success, and seems happy. It’s nice to see something unique done with him, after other modern episodes that don’t handle him well.
My only gripe is that scene where Lisa blows up at Bart, because we actually DO see moments where she (unintentionally) takes attention away from him throughout the years. It’s more nitpicky than anything, but I’m not a fan of that scene.

That warthog joke and the bag boy strike were the best things about Simpson Safari. Granted I was a kid when I first saw it, but I remember laughing so hard at the Warthog joke at the time.
