It's been a long time since we made videos tailored towards the beginner. That's exactly who these videos are for... all of the new additions to the PC Community.

I was expecting like 2 minutes of actual tutorial and the rest being intro and outro. Thanks for actually going in depth on all the different sockets and not dragging the video out to 15 minutes.

As a complete beginner I can not tell you how helpful this series is going to be. A massive thank you

I think you should have mentioned the "LGA crunch", the sound an LGA socket makes when the cpu is installed, especially the first time. Many people might think they broke something if they havent seen it mentioned anywhere.

They only thing I would add to that video is you touching the the top of the heat shield and wiggling it the way you did in this video, is to make sure if you touch the top of the heat-shield to clean it after with isopropanol because oily residue from your fingers will affect the way compound is spread, the oil from your fingers can make blank spot where the compound should be. This of cause depends on how oily your fingers are. I know your already know this Jay, just pointing out to others who may follow this guide and assume its then OK to apply compound.

this series is perfect for me. I have received an injury and while being off work and not being able to use one of my hands I started watching you and linus and between the two of them I learned enough to start an entry build, Thank you for all that you do for not only the competent but for the people like me who didn't know anything about the fun process of building a computer.

This is exactly what people needed who as Jay said are first time builders. When the full series is done, would be good to see a full build done for each one, especially TR as it will become more prominent in 2018. I know there's other guys out there but Jay just makes it so simple and actually takes times to explain things, where others don't, they tend to either fly through them or just go for a time lapse

I think for most of us this video wasn't for us but its cool that he not only made this for people just starting to build, but he also explained what assembling it would feel like. I know a lot of people that first start to build freak out saying stuff like 'was that supposed to move that way?' 'is it supposed to be this loose?'. Nice video.

Jay I just started watching you recently after a dead GPU prompted a new PC build. It's been over 10 years since my last build and I'm loving your videos. You have so much passion for this technology and it really is infectious.

This series will definitely be helpful to me as I move forward in my PC build and in anybody looking to break into the PC scene.

Great idea to make this video series. Most of the how-to for beginners videos you find on youtube are outdated and made with old hardware. Nice to see some high quality tutorials.

I've been building my own systems for 25 years. This video shows that even an old dog can learn new tricks. I didn't realize you weren't supposed to remove the socket cover yourself. Watching it pop loose when you closed the lid was a 'duh' moment for me. Thanks!

I'm thankful for Jay doing this for people who don't know how to install parts or want to start a build I can't wait for the full playlist of this series to end so people can get started doing there full build

Thank you for making these videos, not for the sake of me, but for the sake of others who have never done any computer building before. Thank you so much @JayzTwoCents

Hey man, you're original videos taught me how to build my first rig, onto my second now and still got all nervous the second time around. Your videos really help new pc builders thank you!

I really like the new format. I have built a dozen or so of my own rigs, but the nice short and clear, descriptive format is really good, regardless of your experience.

Built about 15+ systems now, and sold a few even. I owe most of my beginning knowledge to this channel so I am glad to see Jay is doing this again.
