As someone who uses this cooler, I cannot stress enough the importance of screwing both sides evenly (couple rotations on the right and a couple on the left, alternate back and forth). When I built my pc I did not know this and tried screwing it all the way down on the left then on the right, but I didn’t get to the left before the screw snapped off and I had to replace the cpu cooler. Wanna make sure no one makes the same dumb mistake as me

I have the "Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE" version and it is a monster, it literally lowered the temperature of my CPU (I had the motherboard base fan installed) by almost 40 degrees... I went from almost 90 degrees to having maximum temperature peaks of 55 degrees, even with high workloads. Another thing I recommend is to install fans with a large CFM airflow, minimum 70-80, and you will never have temperature problems again.

Just installed one of these, they work great. Don't forget to orient the fans correctly so the airflow is going where you want to vent out. The air comes out the side with the braces.

it should really be noted the specific orientation the cpu bracket is installed is crucial in determine where the fans will blow air too

My first CPU build I was so nervous about the thermal paste that I forgot to put the RAM in. So I had to remove the cooler, clean the paste off, put the RAM in, and then re-paste it.
