Have you ever been to therapy? There is a common misconception that therapy is for people with severe mental health issues. The reality is that therapy can be for anyone. Working professionals, athletes, and even kids go to therapy. Therapy can be a great way for us to learn coping skills, check our mental wellbeing, as well as get advice that actually helps our situation. If you care about your mental health, going to therapy is a good step! Let's destigmatize going to counseling or mental health therapy together.

Have you tried therapy before? How has your experience been like?

You should do how to tell your parents you want help or to get diagnosed with mental health issues because I’ve been stressing about it a lot and I believe others are as well!

Don't we all kind of need therapy? I feel like everyone has something to gain by attending a therapy session even if it isn't necessarily required.

I've both been to therapy and co-owned a mental health therapy business with my husband. There has been some very helpful non-medication solutions that I wouldn't have thought of otherwise.

Yes, I'm in therapy. I am 63 years old man (pronouns he/him) and wish I had gone to treatment when I was 12 (I was gang-raped). This would have helped me avoid a lot of mental anguish and poor self-esteem that I am now fighting to overcome.

I used to be embarrassed for going to therapy but not anymore. I think everyone should go if they have the chance. just getting your emotions out feels so nice even if nothing is generally wrong at that moment!

Hopefully therapy will be less stigmatized in the future, especially for men. Lots of people can benefit from therapy and it shouldn't be seen as a sign of weakness if one goes to therapy. I do see therapy becoming less stigmatized and more accepted to go too.
Therapy should never be seen as a sign of weakness, we need to change that mentality.

I have been seeing a therapist since last November. She is absolutely amazing. I would honestly sit and talk to her for hours on end if i could. Sadly, she is the first therapist out of several that I've seen in my lifetime who has actually helped me. The last therapist i saw created problems rather than helping me solve existing problems. My current therapist is not only having to help me cope with recent trauma, she is also having to undo the damage that last therapist did. I love my therapist.

I think I need therapist. But I'm scared to tell my parents. They may judge me. I hate when ppl judge me. Even when someone is staring at me for no reasons.

I am going to therapy since 10th grade, and I highly encourage everyone to go to therapy. It’s like going to your brain doctor, making sure your mind is ok and deals with everything in a healthy way.
It’s so helpful and wonderful to have a place where you finally feel understood and listened to, about every problem or anything that bugs you. It truly shows you how you can be better with small steps towards personal growth.

I finally had the courage to ask my mom to take me to a physiologist; I always adored having attention and going out as a child but because my parents started to work for more hours per day later I got isolated with my siblings at home. Now, I lack basic social skills when it's outside of a laboral/academic reason, and I want to fix that so bad because I also have trust issues. So yea, thank you so much for this video! :')

Honestly, your videos are so helpful towards me. I've been doing horribly lately and all I have is my comfort youtubers and those who will listen to me. This video gave me realization I really really need to talk to someone, so I will definitely try to talk to my mom about going to therapy. Thank you.

I am 15 years old and 7 of them are matching with me. My mother is very friendly with us. But I am too uncomfortable to talk with my mom about it.

I can't believe every single thing fits so accurately
I am just going through so much stress. I am having a very important exam and I want to give my best but there is just so much pressure.
Just when I thought this was enough of stress, there is this extra problem that came into my life. The thing is I am not getting my periods and it's been over two months already. I am freaking out at this point. And my mom has been also worrying alot about this problem. Because of all this stress and problems I just can't seem to work properly.
But I hope everything gets fine with time 🙏
