I have found myself sleepless for months since I started this series. The sheer number of missing people cases seems to be never-ending. There are thousands upon thousands of missing people cases from our state, national, and provincial parks across North America. Recently, I posted a poll on the channel asking which state you would like me to cover next in the series. You guys spoke and were heard loud and clear. The forests of Oregon are thick and dense, but beautiful and serene. But these peaceful mountains seemingly hold a dark secret. Oregon is not only known for its alleged Bigfoot sightings but its incredibly high rate of missing people cases. Today I am covering 3 truly strange and unsolved missing people cases from Oregon's state and national parks.

#1 Robert Perry Bissell - Mount Hood National Forest

#2 Robert Michael Bobo - Rogue River National Forest

#3 Roy Loren Stephens - Cascade Mountains Oregon

I became homeless a few years back and actually lived in the national forest here in oregon all i felt was peace and i hiked through the vast woods i love the oregon forest. i did experience one strange occurence when i was sleeping one night i had at the time a truck with a camper shell on it that is where i slept. That night it was pitch black and i couldnt see a thing like not even my hand in front of my face i felt a hard thump on the side of my truck then i heard a growl then thensound of leaves rustling then silence again . I got up the next morning and looked for tracks or something but i didnt find any evidence of what it could have been. I never found out what it was but it didnt happen again and i lived in the forest for 2 years. I love the oregon forest its truly beautiful. That experience gave me a greater respect for nature too. I havent been homeless for about 3 years i have a place now and i go visit the forest every so often just to say thank you for keeping me safe for so long. Be safe everyone and always be prepared if you venture into the woods. Be respectful of nature and enjoy her beauty but always use caution.

I had a friend when I lived in Oregon, now deceased, who's Grandfather told me a story that still haunts me to this day. I feel compelled to share it. The Grandfather, who we will refer to as Mr. C, was an ex marine and an old school tough guy. We would call him the "billy badass type". He was a widower and camped in the Willamette Valley frequently to keep himself grounded after the death of his wife. He told me that one Sunday he set up camp somewhere in the Valley at a campground and after a few hours of getting everything out of his Winnebago, he sat down to relax and enjoy the ambiance of the woods. He had only been settled for about 15 minutes when he says that to his left, on the western third of the lake, only a few hundred yards away, he could see a young couple holding hands, just cresting the hill out of sight. This is a man who is militantly skeptical of anything religious or superstitious, almost annoyingly so. He had to be convinced of things and even then it was a 50/50 situation. He says that as soon as he saw them crest the hill, an overwhelming feeling of dread came over him. He says the fear and suspense of the situation was smothering and overwhelming. Immediately the campground became stifling and claustrophobic. He couldn't shake the feeling and felt like there was someone behind every tree, ready to jump out at him.

The fear continued and grew more and more intense. He felt like a "p*ssie" in his own words, but he started packing up. He planned on staying in another part of the park, but as he put things back in his Winnebago, the feeling exponentially grew more intense. He grabbed his rifle. As a trained Marine, he knew he could hit a man from 5 football fields away, his M14 was a match for any threat within that range. He said that he resorted to hold the rifle in his right hand as he started throwing armfuls of gear into his vehicle. He felt like a lunatic, off his meds or something, even though he didn't have any mental problems. His anxiety was overwhelming him and he was sweating profusely. He couldn't even properly pack his gear for fear of having to turn his back to whatever he felt was watching him and rushing towards him. He finally just jumped in the back of the Winnebago, shut the door and crawled his way up to the driver's seat. He left a couple hundred dollars in gear, but just wanted to get out of there. He finally took off up the 7 mile dirt road towards the main highway and left.

It was dark and he didn't have the energy or the patience to drive to the nearest town for a hotel room. He pulled off on the highway roadside, not far from the campground and went to sleep in the back. Hours later he could see a figure by the bay window on the side of the Winnebago. He could tell it was a large man, large enough to comfortably see his frame in the moonlight. He saw a flashlight in hand and shining through the corners between the windows and blinds. A loud knock came from the door of the Winnebago. He got up, rifle in hand. The gruff voice yelled out; "Wayne C." "hello"?. He could tell from the uniform that it was highway patrol. He opened the door, realizing that the officer had ran his plates to establish his identity. The officer said; "Were you at campground a few hours ago?" Mr C. said" Yes, I left there about 8pm". The officer said "we saw your parking permit in the window when we checked the exterior of your vehicle passing by, do you know anything about the couple that was murdered there?"

Immediately the strength in his legs failed him. Long story short, the couple he saw crest the hill was murdered shortly after. The police had been patrolling the nearby roads and thought his parking job looked suspicious. This happened back in the 80s, but turns out to this day, he believes that the killer had him in his sights until he left.

Per what I know, this story is true. I have done by best to make it "entertaining/enthralling" but also "readable" with a "storied pace", but factually I can say that it is what I was told.

Oregon is a creepy place and they never caught the killer.

My grandfather is Cherokee Native American he has told me to never go into national parks. Stories passed down from his ancestors talk about the evil and human like animals in the woods. There is a reason why no one lived there before they were National Parks.

I’ve lived in Oregon all of my life and lived on the edge of a forest on the Oregon coast that stretched 12 miles to the SW to the ocean, and only about 5 miles wide. My dad, brother and I used to hike constantly through there. One day, and I do mean day, not night, we were maybe only a half a mile from our house when we heard something really weird. It was definitely a howl, none of us had a clue what it was, but it sounded like a mix of a large wolf and a large male human howling from the same throat. Not even my dad who had spent time in Korea during the Korean War, was able to figure out what kind of animal that was. The closest I have ever heard to anything like this noise we heard was from an old movie called “An American Werewolf in London”. Over the last 25+ years since I heard that sound I’ve spent hundreds of hours listening to recorded animal sounds and nothing has ever come close. In a way I wish I knew what it was. And please don’t say it was a mountain lion. I’ve heard those. They sound like a woman screaming and is equally chilling, but it’s nothing like what we heard that day.

I lived in Oregon from 2016-2019. The first thing the locals told me is to not stray off into the woods and only hike in the parks and campgrounds. They said the woods are full of psychos an meth labs. There are a few little towns that you don't want to go near after dark. I have driven through some of them in the daytime and they freaked me out then.

I was elk hunting 4 years ago. Hiked in a few miles. As the sun set and I had the eeriest feeling a rock came out of the dark woods and hit the heal of my boot. No idea what it was but I have NEVER been so spooked.

I lived in Oregon 2000-2003. During that time, I spent almost every weekend hiking in various places, but mostly in the Mackenzie river, Crescent lake, Waldo lake, Sisters wilderness areas. Many strange occurrences, but two were the strangest; While hiking near Crescent lake, I ran across a guy in his early 60's it appeared, that looked like he stepped straight out of the 19th century. He was dressed similar (and looked similar) to Teddy Roosevelt - wire rim glasses, wool jacket, leggings and all, but looked shorter in stature. We just looked at each other and he gave me a weird sort of smile like he was expecting me to show up there. this kinda freaked me out at the time so I just nodded back to him and kept on my way saying nothing. I turned around and looked back after passing him about 50 yards or so and he was just standing there like "WTF"? staring at me. For some reason I felt the urge to GTFO of there and I did. Another weird one was hiking in the Sisters wilderness area with my Brother, a Navy buddy, and his Cousin. We were on an overnighter and while on the way up a mountain trail, two other hikers came running down the trail throwing off their gear - knapsacks, cameras, and whatever else to lighten the load yelling "bigfoot". They were genuinely freaked the fuck out - could tell it in their eyes. We of course did not "believe" (at that time anyway) about the hairy cryptid, so kept on our way up to a mountain meadow where we camped that sleepless night - and left immediately as soon as we could.

People dont know or dont believe that there are paranormal areas in some areas in the woods. This world is older then we assume or think. There are many things we dont know that prevail in the woods.

I’ve lived in a central Oregon coastal town my whole life and frequently take the trip up the coast and then cut over into the valley with my gf to visit her family. I’ll note it that I’ve seen many strange things in my life here, but the strangest thing of all was on one of these trips late at night driving up the coast, pouring rain and strong winds, it was hard to seen 10 feet in front of you when the headlights started dimming, so I slowed down and I heard my gf scream I looked right and a women was standing about 20 feet off the road wrapped up in what looked like towels or blankets.. as soon as I could focus on her my lights got super bright, much brighter than normal and i sped off.
I keep my eyes “WIDE OPEN” every time we make this drive late at night now.
