Dude was supposed to be in prison and didn't fit the agenda. This is what happens when judges are soft on crime.

This guy was charged with a felony gun charge back in 2019. The prosecutor, a Soros supported DA, lowered the charge to a misdemeanor. So instead of getting 5 years in prison for a felony, he got 18 months on a misdemeanor charge. A NICS check would not have found the felony charge he had in 2019, due to it being made a misdemeanor. The DA at the time is no longer the DA, but she should be held accountable for her decision to lower the charge.

I am so sorry you are experiencing this with my home state especially at MI-Tech which is in the upper peninsula. Please note that the majority of the residents in Michigan vote red but somehow the democrats always seem to win because of a few counties. Liberal DA dropped felony charges on this guy years ago, that would have put him in jail and stopped him from legally owning a firearm.

In states where you can carry without a permit, not much of this exists. A college near me has the option for students to carry. And not much happens. This should be a wake up, call for anti 2nd Amendment people.

You're so right on black shooters being handled differently by the media. When I saw the initial report, the reporter mentioned he didn't know how the shooter's mental health was. I thought, "Oh finally someone's bringing up mental health in regards to shootings, that's nice." Then I was like "Wait a minute..." That was my first clue he was black, and that's when I realized they hadn't even shown a picture of him. So I looked him up, and surprise surprise. This kid glove treatment towards certain black offenders is doing no one any favors.
