The reworking of neurons for socialization and conversation as a skill when face to face I would say is invaluable. I firmly believe that recognition of facial cues, vocal patterns, body language, and being able to link multiple concepts together on the fly is how someone can start to conquer social anxiety.

Long-lasting change occurs through small steps, repeated regularly, over time. Look no further than your next habit and remember to congratulate yourself every time. You are unique in all the world. Never forget that.

1, 2, and 3 I've been consistent with and it is well worth it. Meditate for 3 mins a day. Be thankful for what you have when intrinsic thoughts come about. I would add reading to the list. Thank you PSych2go for all you do.

I sing absolutely every day, in any mood. Any music I know, I sing along (and therefore I listen almost exclusively to my own playlists). It just feels so empowering to produce melodies, both with voice and instruments. I honestly don't know where I would be mentally if it wasn't for expressing myself through music!

i actually did 4/5 of these when i was younger! but after getting diagnosed with AuDHD and getting hit with an emotional high school trauma bomb 1 month from senior graduation, i was doing these less and less while focusing on what to do to overcome the trauma. Since a LOT of mental health info +10 years ago wasnt near the level it is today, i lacked what i would have loved to utilize and overcome my mental problems with. Since our experiences have ways of shaping our minds and the understanding of the world around us, i understood that a mind has the ability to change how it does things. Even facts of scientific knowledge are susceptible to being wrong, but more damage is done when what was at first true and then false remains false. And if i have any regrets about how ive lived my life so far, its that i didnt draw/video game/make music nearly enough as i would have liked to back then all mostly because of a hurtful opinion many of my classmates had of me.

I love you Psych2Go! Thanks for all you do <3

I dropped out of university and started seeing a really great therapist recently and I think my emotional healing journey is well under way now. I'm hoping to become more mentally sound and balanced and figure out what I want in life. Your videos are definitely helping! :)

This is why true stagnation is (thankfully) impossible. Whatever you do, it improves you. Some things improve rather thin aspects of you, something specific. Some things improve rather wide aspects of you, overall abilities of your mind and body. Honestly, just enjoy life. Life has so many things to offer that you would never get bored if you actually stay for the journey and not the destination

Thank you for the validation and confirmation!. :) There was a time when I used to do all of these things and times when I used to do some of these things nearly all the time, and as I've gotten older and also had to deal with multiple mental health issues along with some very controlling and demanding people in my life throughout the years had really made me lose touch with those things, like singing and doodling/drawing, and still tend to make it hard to focus on things like deep breathing.
Along with all of that, the self-doubt I face daily makes it really hard to believe myself at the times I do tell myself these things, and the closed-off, escapist mindset I have when I still play video games had brought me to the conclusion that maybe I had just made up any of the positive effects that games can and did have on me.
I've been doing bits of Shadow Work here and there and my inner child is usually what comes to mind, and this has helped it feel like my inner child is still 100% viable and useful in my life, and I plan to move forward with my self-discovery using this newfound knowledge and inspiration.
Thank you so much Psych2go team for all the work you do, it can really make a huge difference.

I've done all these things at one time or other, most I do quite routinely to this day. I feel like I'm a fairly well adjusted if just a bit imperfect person, as I'm not the best at dealing with really intense situations, but I generally strive in the day to day. So, at least in my personal experience, these things do in fact help me!
