7 Things Only Highly Sensitive People Can Relate To

Показать описание
A highly sensitive person or HSP is someone who feels more deeply about things. They may cry more easily, prefer alone time to recharge and display higher empathy. We are at a point where mental health is as important as physical health. Unhealthy psychological behaviors are very difficult to identify without the help of experts because of their non-material and subjective nature. This is the case for Highly Sensitive People (HSP), as studies have shown that around 15-20% of the population are highly sensitive, but most people don’t even know what it means. So, we'll be addressing a few common things that only HSP can relate to as a way to build awareness around this topic.

"You're so emotional."
"You're so sensitive."
"You get upset over everything."
"What? (They) didn't say anything bad. Why're you so upset over it???"
"Lighten up. Stop being so sensitive."
"Sheesh, you can't take a joke."

I felt so betrayed when people, even as a little kid, would tell me to stop being so sensitive. Now I understand (in a humble way) the power that I and so many others have. I related to all of those 7 signs and I even thought of more signs based on previous adversities in life in my short 18 years. Understanding and analyzing the world through thoughtful eyes and an empathetic heart is something the majority of people around me never grasped. Even as a toddler, my mom would tell me how I would intently analyze things and people. I hope to have a relationship with someone who I'd understand and who'd understand me, but for real...Love you my fellow HSPs ❤

To feel intensely is not a symptom of weakness… you've got more power than you think

Being sensitive allows you to be more empathetic and that such a good quality to have! In my opinion it's so useful to building really good relationships

I hate it when teachers would walk around the classroom checking peoples work and when they get to me they just stare at me and look at the work I'm doing and I hate how overwhelmed I get because I feel like I'm doing something wrong and I just can't work when I know I'm being watched

I've totally remember when someone told me " why are you so sensitive?" "You're overly sensitive" "You cry for stupid reasons sometimes"
Like I don't judge you when you're sad so why do you have to judge me? Like if you're gonna be my friend you should act like it otherwise get outta my life.

👍Signs You're a Highly Sensitive Person
You absolutely abhor violence and cruelty of any kind.

You're frequently emotionally exhausted from absorbing other people's feelings.

Time pressure really rattles you.

You withdraw often.

You're jumpy.

You think deeply.

You're a seeker.

Sudden, loud noises startle you.

I really, really appreciate you guys. I legit started to tear up as I watched this video. Never knew I was an HSP and so many things made sense to me afterwards.
