Just sold my 08 matrix Sunday 😢. Had 303000 miles on it. Took it to an auto shop for an inspection before I handed it over to the new owner and the shop said they were amazed at how solid it was after 300k miles. Only ever replaced the alternator, tires, front wheel bearings, breaks, battery, spark plugs, and accessory belt. I bought it with 202k on it and owned it for 5 years. Never once left me stranded. That car is the reason I switched from being a Chevy guy to a Toyota guy

My first brand new car was a 2009 Vibe!! I got 435k KM's out of it. It still ran fine but now having a family I bought a van, of course it was the Sienna. I gave that car away to my friend to use as a work car throwing tools and stuff for boat repairs in the back. To this day it's still on the road somewhere out on the east coat!
Those cars also handled amazing in snow and ice. That car was a freaking TANK. GREAT recommendation for a 'Regular Car' !!!

I worked for an advanced auto parts for the summer last year. One time a guy came in with a Toyota Matrix XRS looking for a brake kit. Now, because I know the beauty of that sweet Yamaha tuned engine found in the XRS, I made the mistake of telling him “dude that’s a nice car”
