Thanks for all the helpful tips! Of all the swim videos I have watched online, Effortless Swimming has been the most helpful for me.

Great stuff... but sooo much easier said than done in my experience!

Great video. What's your take about using a much straighter arm recovery in OW swimming and how does that play with:
Stroke rate - does a straighter and wider recovery supports a higher stroke rate?
Does it somehow impair body rotation;
Does it put additional stress in shoulder health and mobility/stability demands.
Take care

Nice videos! I am trying to improve my stroke rate in OW, do you think doing bilateral could help this? In race competition I usually don't go for bilateral, since I prefer to breath on my right.

Awesome videos, i wish i lived closer so i could come to one of the clinics. I’m a freediving instructor living in Greece, thank you so much for these!

Very neat little video. I do all those things and I am a pretty useful open water swimmer, but I am crap in the pool for that reason. Shorter higher turnover stroke does the job quite nicely in open water but not good indoors. LOL

How often do you have to spot ? Is it a good idea to just follow someone else and check your position less ? Is there any benefit to draughting in the open water ?

If all races are in open water, shouldn't we replicate these three things during our every day training in the pool?

I can swim but struggling a lot in d water during breathing out(bubbling), , i can't even exhale for a second, within one to two seconds i feel i should take my head out of water to take a breath, otherwise i feel to hold my breath to be in water for some more seconds, ...this is main issue am struggling with, plz help me to fix this

Everyone says "increase stroke rate". No one says how to do that. You said that the increased buoyancy will naturally allow a higher stroke rate. What if you swim in freshwater without a wetsuit? What do you suggest adjusting to allow a higher stroke rate at the same effort level?
