Thanks for the video. Some of these rankings really depend on your goals in getting a hybrid. If maximum fuel economy is your goal then the Ford Escape should’ve been closer to the RAV4 in your rankings. It can go almost 40 miles on electricity alone meaning for most commutes you may never pay for gas if you can charge it at work. The Subaru ranked higher can only go 17!

I am looking to buy a new PHEV SUV and the Ford Explorer PHEV seams like a good option and the price starting at $37.870. Looked up the price in Sweden and here it starts at $97.500.

How could this comparison not include the Rav4 Prime? 42 mile range (actual I get is around 45 miles) and 302hp for best-in-class performance. Average combined fuel economy (for me) at 51.5 mpg (would be more but I often go out-of-town on the weekends).

Some comfusion there... The RAV4 #1 is a mix of Hybrid and Prime (PHEV). The description is a Hybrid. The video is a Prime.

im wondering why there is no PHEVs here? this is bullshit those are not good SUV's there are lots more that have much much higher MPGs and better suited, unless price is involved? like 35k$ tops? but when you consider the higher MPG on a PHEVs then in time it pays off way more than normal hybrid

The Outlander phev has always been a bad very mediocre suv so how this can be 9th in your list is alarming. They are going bust as sell so few cars pulling out of Europe in 2021 only selling cars already here to survive, which includes heavily relying on Nissan for its new cars. 👎 (in U.K. lucky if sell 4, 700 cars every six months!)
