Which feature is the most important for considering a new car for you? Are there any other compact hybrid SUVs that you want to see us test out? Let us know in the comments below!

These people don’t take long term ownership into equation. The reason the Toyota is a best seller is because it has better resale value and will last past 3 years without major issues.

The Kool-Aid intro was enough for me to subscribe, the rest was awesome too, but the intro was the gravy.

Kia/Hyundai if you want more technology, CRV/Rav4 if you want more reliability. IDK why people are arguing over CRV/Rav4.. Both are very reliable and it's literally up to personal preference which one you want.

How does it make sense to compare a lower trim RAV4 with higher trims on the Honda and Kia?

The RAV4 is simply not competitive right now, wait for the remodel. BTW for those raving about Toyota's reliability. The CRV is one of the most reliable cars ever made.

RAV4 is killing it with MPG and reliability! Toyota runs forever and resale value is the best! Clear winner.

The Rav is the top selling in the world for a reason, maybe the general public prefer the older tech stuff

This has to be the best intro Edmunds has done in a while.

A little over $37k OTD in Cali on my Sport Hybrid CRV with only option added being wheel locks and I ran with it. Cheaper than all other vehicles that I found around me. Ran with it and I’m pretty happy!

You don’t need to screw with the air con and stereo touch…..because stereo is steering wheel controlled so just leave the touch part in air con mode.

Japan is one of the most culturally analog developed country in the world. They love good old school conservative tech. It shows in their cars. Korea is one of the most trend driven culture. It shows in their products. Both have pros and cons. We as customers have choices, which is good thing in my opinion. Best car I ever had was 98 Corolla, but it was boring as hell.

Most of the categories seem subjective except for the mile per gallon test. This is the most important if you're buying a hybrid.

My Sportage hybrid is awesome. No complaints at all and loved the tech.

Agree with Edmunds the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson have the most to offer in compact Hybrid SUV categories. Consumer reports rates the Tucson as the top compact HEV SUV, and the Kia Sportage 2nd best in the PHEV category.

Which models have a spare tire as well as "port" injection ?

I think it would have been nice to include the Tucson facelift. It has received some substantial interior and tech changes that could change the rankings. Wireless carplay and android auto is also included on the facelift. Hope to see it being tested and compared to the Sportage at some point.
