I bought a cx50 hybrid a few days ago. One huge reason was that the rav4 hybrid specs I wanted were still in build phase and would have to wait months while my trade in depreciates more and more. This was available now, has Toyotas proven hybrid system, and has the shell of the cx50 that’s been out for 2-3 years so some gremlins have been ironed out since its introduction. Paid in full. Loving it.

The only problem is that Toyota/Lexus is playing games with inventory making products unavailable to keep prices high. Dealers are ripping off the public. Hyundai gives a long warranty because you will need it. They make a great product, but I question the company's ethics.

Honda all the way! I have a 2011 Accord with 215k miles and still runs as smooth as any new vehicle out there.

I hate that I want a heated steering wheel and 360 camera.... In the USA. So many options go down the drain there. I don't get it.

The best value for what will probably be the most reliable hybrid system ever created is purchasing a 2024 Toyota Venza BEFORE they are all gone. This hybrid system is so reliable it's now being installed in Mazda CX 50s. I'm averaging 44mpg.
No turbocharger to wear out or maintain. No mechanical drivetrain to wear out or maintain. With all wheel drive & 219hp, the rear electric motor makes it perform like a V6 from a dead stop, sips gas with a 40% thermally efficient Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder and has a Lexus-lite comfort and style.
I'm not a sunroof guy so I would get one that didn't have the stargaze roof system, but the stargaze roof should never leak since there are ZERO seals to maintain, or replace.

I would add the 2025 Lexus UX 300h Premium trim
Affordable price for a luxury hybrid crossover.
Smaller Interior and storage space is the trade-off,
but if that is not your primary options this is absolute a very good contender.

Appreciate the video. I so want the CX 50, but no heated steering wheel or rear seats! And I feel no ventilated front seats. Huge miss on their part.

Very good ranking. Got '24 CCH AWD SE, with SR package for paddles, didn't want sunroof. No choice in NW. Use SR all the time warm months, don't use paddles 😮, use lever ALL THE TIME. First hybrid, novice hypermiler. @30-35% highway miles killing MPG, 70. By 1st anniversary I expect to be @85 MPG, still more to learn. Almost never use mechanical brakes except<10mph. 70%+ EV ratio. Getting a scanguage as Toyota's instruments are crap accuracy. ALWAYS reports mileage @70% of recorded, sketchy EV indication, etc. After warranty essentially the only maintenance will be annual oil and tires as ICE run time only 30% so far and expect to get well below 25 with scanguage.

I have shortlisted three 1-2 years old Suv brands but am having hard time deciding the right one. 1. Audi Q4 eTron 2. Ford Mustang Mach-e 3. Tesly Model Y. All of them are in the same proce range. Any advice, thoughts?

I owned Hondas most of my life but I now refuse to buy any vehicle with a GDI engine that doesn't have both port and direct injection. So for me that means Toyota although there are some other makes that use that set up but not Honda. I'm not interested in something that may have issues with carbon build up.

I like your list. Can't go wrong with any purchase on the list.

Can you compare feature to feature for top models on the Toyota, Mazda and CRV? I think Honda and Mazda are lacking features on their top models, Toyota comes loaded with.
