House suspects an emergency room patient (Paul Rae) has a bigger problem than the E.R. initially diagnosed based on the fact that the patient is too nice. A skeptical House questions the patient's sunny disposition as the team tries to get to the bottom of his illness, but disagrees with House that niceness is a symptom. Meanwhile, House is at odds with Wilson's girlfriend, Amber, about how much time they each get to spend with Wilson, and Cuddy demands House give his team performance reviews.

I like how often Wilson consciously decides to let House's provocations of him slide.

Funny enough, House's assholery is technically a symptom from the pain of his leg. Before that yes he was a jerk, but not NEARLY as bad as he is with his damaged leg. So techincally, Kutner was right

Handing Kutner the marker, reminds me House probably thought he was the one that could replace the easiest someday. Like it came naturally, and he solved the case because of House's practical joke... but then how he met his end shook House to his core.

The one mistake Wilson and everyone made in the show was trying to change and help House when he wasn't ready to help himself.

Chronic pain patient, here: The only way to make House "nicer" is to give him more and better pain relief. Living with endless agony turns even the kindest people into snarling monsters. He may have to choose between suffering and curing patients, but everyone has to make a trade-off in life.

Kutner was an amazing doctor I've seen him solve cases before House on multiple occasions completely on his own. He sometimes caught on some stuff even though House missed it.

I know how chase became house, but I swear to God Taub became Wilson 2.0. Very smart, multiple divorces, helps figure out a lot of cases and knows people

The best part of this episode was House and Chase bowling, and Chase giving House the idea to "share custody" of Wilson with Amber. 😀

They cut the last scene of this which was the best part. He ends up getting handed an ice cream and he tells his wife he doesn’t like the flavor anymore and she gives a sad luck because she knows his personality in fact is going to change.
