To be blatantly clear, God is allowing evil because he is patient with us. Because since we sin, these bad things are actually happening to us because of our choices. God gave us a free will, and if we do evil, we are separating from him because he won't force us to do his will, and he respects our free will. And when bad things happen to us, we have to go through with it because we pretty much deserve it for our sins. And he is patient with those who do evil and when their time is up, they have gone to hell of their own free will. So God is not really allowing evil, he is just giving us a choice. And our choices, our consequences.

When people ask why do god allow evil to happen, they don’t take account into the evil things they do on a daily basis and if god didn’t allow evil to exist, we wouldn’t be here

With God, all things are possible. Good comes in many forms. Sometimes good comes out of evil things. Our paths before us have the ups and downs. Sometimes tragedy steers us in certain ways, sometimes our own tragedies helps others. Without the evil, we would never be able to choose to be good.

Ouch the story of his niece hurts and hits hard. Few weeks ago, the mother of my 2 daughters, my daughters and myself had a family trip to the water park for memorial weekend. The next day ON MEMORIAL DAY around the same time, that we were at the park an young child drowns. I didnt know what to say or do, all I could do was weep and pray to God to accept that young soul into his Kingdom.

Well theres few things as to why God lets evil happen

1. He's being 100% fair meaning his letting people commit their sins, by their own choice now matter what it is.

2. Terminal illness: downfall of man

3. Challenge and test you like he did with Job

4. To know Good(God) and bad(sin and satan), for if theres no bad you wouldnt know God is the true way

4. But what about unforseen causes like car crash or hurricane or floods? Well some say God just lets things run its course at times or maybe he sent those for a reason, that part i dont know

But thats evidence that people take from the bible for the first 4 points, 5th point thats where i dont know, but God is loving, merciful, graceful and the most important just.

Every atheist owes his or her morals and values to the words of God.

One point of Cliff's speech is worth developing a little more: we do not (fully) know, in fact, why God allows evil to happen. In part, it is so because if He didn't, He would interfere in our free will (when it comes to the evil that men do). Other than that, we actually don't know why He allows evil to happen. But, as we know, God IS goodness and justice. So, if he allows evil to happen, he does in order to take a greater good from it. This greater good can be something earthly or something heavenly (to be resolved in the afterlife). Sadly, we as humans are not intelligent enough to understand God's will (we will never be), so lots of the evil that happen around will be scandalous to us, but every single one of it will be resolved and will give place to a greater good.

Apart from sin and the freewill of man being allowed to create chaos and pain in this world.
I have a question that relates to things that, from an atheist's point of view, something we don't cause, and just happens.

My question is "Why does God allow things that are out of everyone's control, like diseases and natural disasters, kill us? Even if it's someone as innocent as a newborn baby."

His reasoning among some others in the comments I find understandable and plausible. Geniunely asking though, what do you think about this reason?: Because this is a fallen world due to sin, and God is Just, so he stands behind his own convictions.

The Apostle Paul's Explanation:

" *God* has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all. … From him and through him and to him are all things." (Romans 11:32, 36a).

"For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, *but because of him who subjected it, * in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God." (Romans 8:20-21).

GOD has given us free will, and with that free will we make our own decisions,
When you say why does GOD allow evil what you're saying is why can't I do whatever I
Want to do and not be held accountable for it!
Galatians 6:7

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Matthew 26:39 ►
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Jesus pbh prayed with head on floor same has Muslim.

If God was to remove evil then everyone of us would be eliminated including children and babies as we all have committed (or will commit for the babies) evil at some level or degree in our lives and good and evil come in intensity just like shades of white and black respectively. Knowing what would happen if He removed all evil He uses His infinite wisdom and knowledge to end different aspects of evil in a person's life rather than evil in its entirety.

Subjective moral duties and values are not unreal because they are inside our minds, they are real as we are. To say that no objective morals exist is fine and well in a universe where objective consequences do not occur inside of us and outside of us (guilt and punishment). But they do occur. And to say that this is unjust and unfair is certainly depressing but that doesn't make it untrue.

Evil happens because we have free will. God absolutely could stop all evil from happening, but every one of us has done evil things. To stop all the evil, He would have to take away the gift of free will that He has given us. He has given us that gift because He has free will and He created us is His image. Consider also that if evil did not exist in this world, and only good righteous things ever happened, would we recognize that righteousness? If we had no contrast between good and evil, how would we be able to understand the good righteous things? God originally created a perfect existence that did not include evil. In the garden, Adam and Eve lived a perfect existence until the day they were tempted and ate from the "tree of knowledge of good and evil". By eating from that tree, all humans from that day forward have to experience evil in the world. That is how we have knowledge of good and evil, we experience them. So God did not allow evil in the world, we humans invited it into the world through sin. However, God did not want this for us, so by His grace He sent Jesus to bear the punishment of our evil and sins. Now we have been given another gift, the gift of salvation through Jesus for anyone who will call upon Him and believe that He died for us and rose again defeating death and paving the path to heaven for the rest of us. If you are hearing this for the first time, please take a moment to bow your head, close your eyes and talk to Jesus. Ask Him to be your savior. Ask Him to lead your life and bless you and take your sins and stress and hardship in your life. If you genuinely believe Jesus is God, and He died for our sins, and He rose from the dead, you will be saved and live in God's presence forever. Amen.

I have a coworker who asked me whether Hell or war is worse. I said Hell, because Hell is eternal. He said war, because war affects everyone, while Hell only affects sinners. Then we got into a discussion about forgiveness and if God is all-loving, why does He allow people to go to Hell?
Then there was the whole Genesis vs Big Bang, and he says humans don't have souls and this life is all there is. How do I prove humans have souls and Genesis happened while the Big Bang is just a theory?

Also, if there was no choice to do evil (I'm not encouraging it, but the choice is always there) and all we could do or say was good and nice things...we'd never know if we truly chose for God, and any relationship and love-based interaction would be void.
So like it or not, evil exists among other reasons because then whomever chooses the good God and His goodwill does so genuinely and the love between you and the Father is genuine. And that, according to the Bible, is what God wants; a loving, purely willfully purely loving relationship between us and Him.

No evil, no choice, no love.
