The bibles gives clear instructions on how slaves should be treated. Why did it not clearly say slavery is wrong.

People always say the Bible is so old and that ee cant relate to it but everything we're dealing with is in this book to teach us what NOT to do.

I’m not a religious man, but I hold a lot of respect for this man. Of the few videos I have seen of his interview he isn’t scared to say when he doesn’t know the answers and when he is asked about something his responses are always logical and with references. Regardless of my lack of belief, this is the kind of secular adult I want next to me in the US. There are far too many that utilize Christianity and Religion for personal benefit or bend the interpretation to what is convenient for them at the time.

100 percent agree!! The Bible also says that we are slaves to our sin, to which Jesus Christ was sent to free us from that.

It’s very interesting to me that slavery of the past is a heated topic, but current day slavery, that is currently happening all over the world (US being a major hub of trafficking), is on a cricket track. Man, we get so distracted by the past we don’t even know how to do better in the present. And round and round we go with the he said, she saids, fingers pointing while people have their whole lives stripped away.

A lot of people fail to realize is that the Bible is also a history book too. Many other history books record events such as these from the past.
