Generally true except some situations where you want to make sure the subject is properly exposed and so it might happen that the sky or window or sources of light are way overexposed out of the spectrum with zebras visible. Also just one thing not mentioned in your video: the importance of using ND filter and the right ISO: to use the most dynamic range from your camera it is better to use the native low iso of the camera or the native high iso, for the A7sIII it is iso 640 and 12800.

Funny how you are telling people to ignore the MM when it perfectly work and match the zebra! Don't listen to everyone on social guys !! This is a great exemple. I'd never look at histogram for video work ! This is definitely the worst thing to do ! Zebra and MM are perfectly fine .
