Hey friends, I'm a firm believer that overexposing S-Log 3 footage is the best way to expose this profile correctly, but that's not all you have to keep in mind. In this video I go over exactly how film in SLOG3 to produce perfect skintones and have an all around pleasing image that looks cinematic and natural. This technique works for Sony a6700, a7c ii, a7cr, fx3, a7siii, fx30, a7iv, and a1. Enjoy!

1:10 - according to PhotonToPhotos investigation the highest dynamic range is at ISO 100 resulting in 10, 93 stops of dynamic range while at ISO 800 we have 8.18. If you really measured and have different data, please tell how you measured that.

Great video tons of valuable information! I was curious about zebra settings if there are no people in the scene just say landscape or similar. Would you still set zebra's for 70? So I have the A7RV and the A7IV. I’m just getting started with S-Log3. I notice a lot of videos talk about having the zebras at 70. But then they have another setting at 94+. Why are there two different settings?

I have been shooting with zebras at 70..but have been shooting with the display lut on...lol hopefully turning it off going forward will help...if you arent shooting for skin tones..just broll..establishing shots do you keep zebras at 70 with display lut off?
