Side by side I believe the 92% is right but show one then take people to another room 10 minutes later to see the other and I’ll bet the percentage drops greatly.

I have the G3 77. Am very happy with it. Yes the G4 will be better so will the G5, G6. Am just grateful I have a nice tv. I will not be upgading for a while now

Just got the 77G4. This year LG definitely killed it. Higher brightness, no dimming in game mode, higher color volume, next gen A11 processor and game mode completely fixed. Also no Sony oled this year and S95D has matte screen + extreme thermal throttling

I have the G3, the only thing that interest me is the game mode brightness being fixed. I wish they’d update the G3 to resolve that issue. I guess that’s the selling point of the newest model. Next year‘s models always gonna be a little bit better.

Only real noticeable difference I see is the brightness. Processing looks identical, and I actually prefer the warmer looking images on the G3. Unless they've tackled the colour banding issue that the G3 and C3 both had, I doubt it's worth the upgrade even with the uptick in refresh rate, and a few other minor tweaks especially given the price it's coming in at. Nothing taken away from how beautiful it looks, but I'd buy the G3 and save the thousand bucks

I have the LG G3 I think it is a great tv for the price it was also 1200$ more for the G4 so to me it was not worth it for the differences but that's just me couldn't justify it

Got the G4 65inch from Richer Sounds for £2619, and it came with the LG GX Gallery soundbar for free. Got delivered yesterday, loving it so far. The only regret is not getting it in 77inch.

It looks like at times the colors looked more vibrant on the G3 I think people just confuse being brighter for being better.

I feel if you’re going for the 83” or you plan on using an OLED tv for PC gaming. Then buy the G4

Just me that's noticed that the brightness increase in the G4 hurts the quality of the image? The G3 looks more detailed and colours have more pop from what I can see in this side by side comparison

My best buy has G3 77&83 on clearance.
I bought a 77 G3 for $2279 with the stand.
The 83 is $3279.
It was an easy choice

Just got the g4 77 inch.. lovely tv.. started out by watching Altered Carbon on Netflix to test black crush.. I still have it.. and i think it is here to stay.. not an expert and haven't tuned things according to guides yet.. Still a super amazing tv.. Up next to my 65 CX it is a huge improvement.. that being said for anyone who doesn't have the money to burn.. it isn't such a big difference to justify cost.. Should i have gotten it all over with and gotten an 83? that would have cost me about 1000 dollars more and I am not sure it would fit in the back of a pickup truck in the box :)

You would have to have exactly 100 people compare the TV to get exactly 92%. Thats a lot of people mate. You should do more of these types of comparisons, they are helpful. Thanks....

I think a comparison to a qd-oled like the Samsung S90d (skip the S95d as that matte coating is garbage) or the Sony A95L is in order to set the record straight on color volume. I’ve seen how much sharper and more accurate the G4 is compared the all others in a clock scene I saw somewhere but the color volume is what I fear I would be missing out on since QD OLED is the latest tech.
