I too discovered that high contrast gave a really nice picture on my OLED LG TV. Unfortunately, I've concluded that it's probably also what resulted in very, very bad burn in indeed on my panel. Yes, mine is an early B7 model, but even by the standards of those models it was is still very very pronounced to the point of being scrapped. Items such as the Sky pause icon and LG's own mute icons (cycled to prevent burn in) are permanently burned into the screen and very visible.

Still have no idea why all these tv reviewers have their contrast at 85 or 90. Doesn’t seem to affect picture in any meaningful way besides darkening the image which is already dark as is… just put on 100?

I did the exact setting but after a couple minutes my tv brights up again

Nothing looks good on my tv apart from standard and echo. The rest look absolutely garbage and I just don’t believe anyone would use them. They make imagecugly and usually extremely yellow. No matter even if I change settings they all bad.
