The enablers are the reason the narcissist is able to so easily continue their abuse. They willingly help the narcissist escape any accountability or consequences despite knowing what the narcissist did.

My ex narc's mother is an enabler. She made excuses for his lies. She'd say he just had a long day. When I finally divorced him after 17 years of hell, she completely blocked me, cut me off like she never knew me even though she is the grandmother of our 3 children.

I'm experiencing this after my narc mom's death. I now have damn near an entire community against me, most of the people l don't know at all, and others are my narc mom's friends and some family members l've never met, seen or spoken to ever since l was a young child, but yet they're all ganging up on me based upon my narc mom's smear campaigns against me and the lies, gossip, slander and rumors that have snowballed over the decades. It's crazymaking because they're living in a world based and created upon heresay rather than actual eyewitnessed facts. I've been scapegoated by my narc mom's family because l'm an only child with a mind of my own who have dared and remain to be independent and progressive in my ways of thinking and behaving. Narcs despise and attack those who separate themselves and are different from them. Narcs are bullies and gang stalking cowards. It's amazing to have people 20-30 years older than me bullying and treating me as if we were all 9th graders in high school. 🙄

Once I noticed myself getting pulled into abuse by the flying monkeys I straight cut them OFF quicker than shit and don't have even the smallest amount of regret
I don't need friends who are so easily willing to treat someone THEY DONT EVEN KNOW like trash just because ONE person talking some bs 🤷🏻‍♀️
I only got 3 people in my life who's opinions might make me question someone I'm not familiar with. Everyone else I always stay skeptical until I have my own experience with that specific person

THIS! it is worse when someone with empathy is abusive to me, because it feels more deliberate, not instinctual. People totally want to seem 'kind' and put their ideology and 'niceness' ahead of the right thing. I have witnessed narcassissts belittle and degrade people and then been told it's cruel for me to express discomfort bc they were not given attention as a kid. It is wild how much they will insist you erode your so ironic too, because I was horifically abused with a kid but have been forced into caregiver roles for people whose lives have been relatively safe and non-violent

I referred to the harem as his posse. DIDN'T HE GO AND TELL THEM . And then every reference to themselves were " his posse" online. I knew those were my words. He told them I looked down on them. They were brutal online. Omg it's been years and it still hurts me like hell. I wish I were stronger. I was very confident before I met him. He's like a devil. Idk how else to describe. He took all his anger and, women who rejected him through the years. out on me. I was one who rejected him years earlier. You can figure it out in hindsight when you recall certain conversations that were red flags. I obviously was an easy target. Please be stronger than I was. My mother would say, when you're too good, you're no good
