Consumer Reports has released its first report ranking appliance brands for predicted reliability.

Problem with the newest refrigerators are the small compressor motors being overtaxed, and trying to achieve high efficiency ratings.

We purchased a GE no frills bottom of the line fridge for our movie room. It died after only five years.

We have a GE Dryer that is just now showing trouble at 25 years. I really doubt we will find anything near as reliable again. Not sure where GE was on this list. 🤷‍♂️

LG? Are you joking? My LG dishwasher almost caught on fire. I've read that it's responsible for several house fires. I just replaced it with a Whirlpool.
